Im just writing about the people who thought robben’s performance against Valencia was any good. He may have dribbled a lot of players but he couldn’t finish for shit and he needs to learn to pass the ball.

You don’t make the big money to pass the ball…

I think y’all can finish atop this group. I know Real Madrid is a big name, but I think you guys can beat them.

and adam above, Robben played in the 1st leg and Robinho played in the 2nd leg … it’s not like they never had either of them when we played them. we beat them soundly 2-1 in both games. i think you guys can beat them by a similar scoreline as well. casillas is probably already wetting his pants by having to face treza, ADP, amauri, iaquinta, and giovinco.

    i think it’s a blessing i disguise.

We’re strong enough last season. We’d unbeatable against roma, milan, and inter and beaten them all.

Now, we’re stronger with additional players and youngsters.

If Juve can qualified from this group, it will surely gives a big morale boost to the squad. Since it’s been two we’re not on CL. Who knows, maybe that will makes the squad confidence bigger and eventually we’ll through to the CL final :) .

Now, if only we get rid Tiago (sorry…) and bring Appiah…

I think he looks like Seedorf version of Juve.

I love ‘em, but can you imagine Sissoko/Poulsen/Zanetti doing this? I don’t think so.

Appiah for Tiago is a great switch.

As it is obvious Real is our only real challenge. We should have no trouble making it out of this group.

just put Tiago somewhere, and bring back Appiah. Period.
If Juve cannot sell or loan him this August, perhaps it can be done on January…

    The transfer window is closing…

I’m not worried. We’ve beaten them twice in recent years so bring ‘em on

(off to Sorrento, Naples for a week in 20 minutes :D )

Oliviero: His dribbling was excellent, and his shots were absolute rockets. Those aren’t going to be caught everytime, his team will have chance for rebounds, defense will concede corners, etc. You can’t allow someone like that to get off that many shots, I’m surprised one didn’t go in. Eventually the D is going to swarm to him anyway and I’m sure he would pass to a wide open teammate. Being two men down doesn’t exactly give you too many options.

Packed fixtures list. I think we join the Coppa Italia in November-ish, with the new format we join later but we are going to have to hope for no injuries.

Yea after today’s performance, im beggining to think our group H is looking a little more difficult. Anyone notice how dangerous Zenit looked on the right flank? Nani and Evra were dominated. Molinaro is going to have a field day. And as the days progress it looks more and more like Arshavin is staying put. Combine that with the insane goal by Danny, and we are going to have some intense matches in the next few weeks. FORZA JUVE!

Quoting from my UEFA Champions League – Inter, Roma, Juventus, Fiorentina GROUPS Analyzed article:

Things could have turned out a bit better for here. Although they had some luck (Schalke, who had a better UEFA coefficient than the Bianconeri, was conveniently eliminated in the Preliminary Round, putting the Old Lady in pot nº2), big>Juventus were probably hoping for an easier group.

Real Madrid are a well-known adversary, bringing back painful (1998 UCL Final) but also happy memories (<2003 UCL Semi-Finals… I was there by the way  )

Zenit St. Petersburg, who will play the UEFA Super Cup final against Manchester United today, were one of the most feared unknowns. That Andrei Arshavin guy is one freakingly good player, and no, I don’t believe he’s overrated. (and let’s not forget last year’s UEFA Cup topscorer, who managed to score as many goals as Luca Toni, a certain <Pavel Pogrebnyak)

Belarus’ Bate Borisov seem to be the easiest opponent in Group H, but let’s not forget they got rid of Anderlecht and Levski Sofia (not exactly UCL newbies) to get here.

All in all, I just hope we don’t get a bad surprise from Russia here.

The ball is in Juve’s court though: this isn’t an impossible group by any stretch of the imagination. A hard one yes, but not impossible.

to be perfectly honest, this is the Champion’s League. It is full of…well, Champions. This is not something that teams with no talent participate in. Every team, every group is difficult, sure some are perhaps slightly more difficult than others but in the end, this is a tough competition to be a part of. The team who are unable to handle the competition and the pressure will fail no matter how well they did in their respective leagues. Also, take into consideration how well we know some of these teams, such as BATE. Personally, I know nothing about them except that they are from Belerus. They could be a really strong side and just like that the “favourites” of the group are knocked out. Juve can talk all they want about being back in the CL but if they really want to show the world they are back, they must be able to keep up with the competition no matter who it is, because guys, its only getting tougher from here.

We got La Viola to murder tomorrow.
