Wasserman does Jonathan

By: agiamba | July 10th, 2009

Alright, so it’s utterly mediocre, but so are Zebina’s performances!

“-Jonathan is a virtual unknown within his home country, France, making him an underrated buy!
-Zebina has telekenetic powers”

“Zebina is famous for standing up even against his own teammates, such as brawling with future Juve captain Giorgio Chiellini while playing against his former team, Cagliari.”

“-A lifelong bachelor, Zebina will not take up any valuable club time in doing frivolous things such as getting married.
-Zebina is not selfish, as proven by the fact that he has scored 1 goal in his entire career as a wingback.
-Jonathan is not afraid to defend himself, as shown by him bitch slapping a cameraman after being sent off.”

If they really offer 15mil, take the money and run Secco!

    Poulsen to Barcelona?
  • agiamba
Del Piero can't really play in that role to begin with, alex.
  • alex
iaquinta would score more goals, but amauri would hold the ball up allowing the rest of the team to attack.

you have to have melo and marchisio. sissoko is good at breaking up the play but thats it. melo and marchisio can do everything and i think marchisio showed his true worth at the under 21 championships how many times was he back defending?? melo would of course provide the muscle.

    buffon
    zebina-cannavaro-chiellini-de ceglie
    marchisio-melo
    del piero/camo-diego-giovinco
    amauri/iaquinta

del piero should be used sparingly like in big games or as a sub. to win anything next season giovinco has to play hes amazing and next to diego i cant see any team being able to cope with them
  • Sam
I must say i liek the 4-2-3-1 more, as this will make it possible for both Diego and Giovinco to play together, but for the 2 MC's, we have to choose between, Marchisio, Melo, and sissoko, its a good problem to have. and who wil be our ONE? Amauri most probably seeing as though hes a complete ST.
  • agiamba
If Ferrara won't give them a shot, no one will.
  • alex
isnt it crazy though? what is it with italian managers and italian youth?!! you have the best talent pool in the world i cant understand the lack of confidence in the youth
  • Jim
    you're right alessio....i don't see it either...but, i figured i would report it anyway...
  • agiamba
It would be a crime, alex. Marchisio+Zanetti should be starting if healthy, and it's not because of their nationality. I like the 4-3-1-2 a lot more than 4-2-3-1.

Santacroce would be a great signing but I don't see Napoli letting him go on loan with a fixed-price. Even if he's not starting, they know his talent. Shame on Napoli for pushing him out for a mediocre Italian and a young Colombian!
  • alex
if marchisio is dropped for tiago, melo and sissoko i hope he moves. what a waste of talent. same as giovinco both of them getting pushed out by brazilians shame on juve
  • Jim
I also read that Juve are trying to make a move for Santacroce on loan, with an option to buy....
  • Jim
  • Sam
    yep, looks liek it.
  • Calisi
    Is the Melo signing true?
  • adam
    if** we sell
  • adam
It would be very stupid IMO of we sell Tiago and Poulsen just to get a defender. I really think that Tiago will play very well in this new formation, and knowing our luck with injuries I wouldn't be surprised if our 3 starting CM's are all out either suspended or injured at the same time.

In my FM, Arsenal too strong. They bought Ribery and with Adebayor being so overrated, they won the EPL with 110 points, losing only once.
  • Ps. In real life, I agree with mouini, marchisio, melo, zanetti, and sissoko all should stay, and with poulsen refusing to leave we need to get rid of tiago and almiron very quickly. Not to mention I want to see freakin' giovinco in the midfield somewhere... (or upfront; hell, put him at right back over zebina and friends)
  • Yeah, that too! Arsenal are impossible to beat, especially after they bought anelka and henry out of nowhere... what is up with that??
  • Jorid
Weston Ik what you're talking about. For some reason Juve is terrible in FM. I remember in one of my FM 07 files where I was Bayern, I ended up playing for something like 8-9 years as their manager and by the end of the 8th season Juve got relegated to Serie B... I think it's one of FM's mysteries, kinda like how Arse-anal always dominates, while in real life they choke.
  • Sam
Yeh he wasnt given a number was he, meaning hes of, somewhere.
  • agiamba
If there is a God, Almiron will be nowhere near our team.
  • agiamba
I'm a bit surprised there's protests against Zebina, but good god I can understand them. I've obviously never liked him, and he comes back after being all season and tells the fans to shut up in the first few games back. Buffon could do that. Nedved could, or of course, Alex. Zebina can't tell us shit.

  • juventus seems to always do really bad and be really underrated in fm when you are another team. when i played as parma it only took ranieri a couple of weeks into the season to get sacked as he had brought his team to the bottom 1/4, but when i play as them of course we win every year and even have messi. this is even true for other people i have found as juventus finished 5 places below where they should be at the roma fm: http://fm6.theoffside.com/fm09... has anybody else noticed this?

"There is a battle brewing between Juventus fans and those ultras protesting against Fabio Cannavaro and Jonathan Zebina.

The role of the ultra’ in Italian football has always been a tricky one and there is set to be a deep split within the fanbase, which is already evident in pre-season training.

Cannavaro’s return from Real Madrid three years after he walked away in the midst of the Calciopoli scandal is the focus of the trouble.

The World Cup winner and the other Confederations Cup players do not begin training in Pinzolo until Thursday, but ultras already chanted slogans against him during this week’s sessions.

‘Madrid dumped you, Napoli repudiated you, only your avarice brought you back to us,’ read one banner, while others declared Canna ‘a traitor.’

Zebina was also targeted for abuse, but he was never a particularly popular figure among the Bianconeri fans.

Unusually, the majority of supporters turned on these hardliners with their own chants and jeers, but the situation is set to escalate when Cannavaro actually joins the squad.

The ultras have already been using fireworks and smoke bombs during the training sessions to make their protests clear.

According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, the deep split between the sets of Juventus supporters could blow up next week with Cannavaro’s arrival."

Yeah why is Zebina soo damn good in FM he has been for the past few FM's. lol wonder how he will be in the next one.
  • agiamba
I do play FM and I might make another brochure. I'm glad people laughed even though it was totally mediocre!
  • Alessio, do you play fm or plan on making any more of these brochures?
  • mike
indeed Sam. I'm afraid that with the signing of Melo our transfer market will terminate for this summer. I would have thought that with the departures of Mellberg and Knezevic and the termination of Andrade's contract, we would have added more in our defence, other than Cannavaro.

i have a feeling idze is right if he stays fit, he will start!
  • idze
zebina is solid defender and he will be our first choise next season. you will see
  • Sam
    yeha great post ALE :D
  • Darn, now I feel BAD for the guy. Some of the things written there are just MEAN.

    True... but MEAN!

    :P
  • Corbin
from wikipedia: "He plays as a right back and occasionally as a centre back, though he started out as a striker."

something about a former striker scoring 1 career goal made me burst into laughter...
  • Sofia
HAHAHA THIS IS PRICELESS! Zebina is useless!
  • Jack
haha, you should do one for Molinaro and Tiago :)
  • Sam
Armando man, there is no way in hell we are getting Maggio, he was extremly ordinary last season, and Brazzo is not a left back, i would rather start Molinaro any day.
  • Armando
He and Grygera should both be sold. When it comes to fullbacks, this is what we should do:

    -Sell Grygera and Zebina
-Keep Brazzo, De Ceglie, and Molinaro
    -Buy Maggio
-Use Maggio on the right, and Brazzo on the left as starters. When Maggio is out, switch Brazzo to the right and either De Ceglie or Molinaro on the left. OR start De Ceglie on the left with Molinaro being his ready sub, and Maggio on the right with Brazzo being his ready sub. I think the first way is better though, but De Ceglie and Molinaro are gonna be fighting to play.
