…..or, less was said because it wasnt a violating any league policy and, as i previously mentioned, was done with full transparency. regardless, it’s rediculous to even put forward that situation as a counter example (implying it being akin to calciopoli) since it is a far, far cry from the calciopoli scandal which, let’s not forget, included other teams like milan, lazio and fiorentina….but of course let’s not be too hard on fiorentina since they only cheated ‘a little’…lol.

Right. Well, I think it was decided that since everyone gave the gifts back that, although it looked fishy, the whole incident could just be swept under the rug and the less said the better.

i’m not sure it works quite that way. if, hypothetically, there is an apparent violation of some law, say a thief steals merchandise from a store but the merchandise is then returned back to the shop owner, i believe the theif would still be charged for shoplifting.

i know the story. i also know that the issue was investigated and no punishment of any sort delivered. i believe it is common knowledge that the gifts were given with full transparancy. no wire taps required. further, i recall reading that juve were also bearing similar gifts a few years later.
