These Pictures Are Too Good Not to Post; Juventus-Reggina
By: alessio | December 1st, 2008Maybe it’s my nostalgia from growing up in Chicago/Upstate NY, but I’ve always loved snow, particularly in the early fall when it’s still a novelty. The pictures from the Olimpico at night during a raging snowstorm, well, they are amazing.
Pictures after the jump.

Snowstorm builds in Turin, I think it’s a bit early for this weather but I’m not from Piedmont, what do I know

Anything you can do I can do better…

Not quite as creepy as the following

Ranieri trying to toughen up his image.

This ruins CR7’s Ballon d’Or even more for me. He’s a slimy right-winger who disappears in big games and flops on the ground at the slightest contact. Our winger played a fuckin’ half-hour with a dislocated shoulder AND managed to score a goal. Get better, Mauro.

Costa (#3) seriously has a thing for Amauri. Get a room.

Costa going in from the other angle…

Somewhere in Bavaria, Toni is angrily yelling at his lawyer in Italian German to sue Amauri for trademark infringement.

Err, let’s avoid taking each other out.

GIORGIONEEE…uglyass header, but goals aren’t rated for beauty. If they were, Titus Bramble would have my vote everyday.

C’e’ solo un capitano!!

“If it happens that I play well and do not score, then I’m happy. Obviously I’m happier if I do score! “The goals still have an effect on me, of course.”

GRANDE GIOVINCO!
“It is only normal to get angry when I don’t play,” Giovinco admitted in Tuttosport. “It would be worse if I didn’t mind because that would show that I wasn’t attached to this shirt. Of course I will try and channel the anger into a more positive attitude. The Coach has told me that I am Pavel Nedved’s replacement, but I don’t really care what position I play in as long as I am on the pitch and can hit the net. I have to admit that I miss scoring goals because I scored six for Empoli on loan last season. I feel like a goal could seriously help me turn the corner, but I will keep giving my all and I have no intention of leaving because I truly care about Juve.”
Balotelli, take notice.

Oh and just as good news, quote from Cobolli:
Cessioni? Non se ne parla neppure. Giovinco resta, indiscutibilmente».

Oh and he’s talking about his chat with Del Piero in the first paragraph, kind of an important detail.

Holy Moses! That second Ranieri picture is absolutely priceless. If he wasn’t such a classy guy, it’d be the perfect poster-picture for a “I’m Death Incarnate” campaign!
“By the way, as Julian pointed out, I’ve just been nominated for “Best New Football Blogger of 2008″ by the Soccerlens awards. Never would have expected it, someone over there needs to put down the pipe occasionally, but it’s good to be recognized anyways. Go vote, even if it isn’t for me.”
Uhm… I might have had something to do with that.

Oh yeah, how thoughtless of me.
Never would have expected it, Marco P over there needs to put down the pipe occasionally, but it’s good to be recognized anyways.

That was one of the coolest games I’ve seen in Calcio.
The whole atmosphere was crazy.
When ADP converted the PK, and the ball crashed against the top-corner of the net and the snow just blasted off.Posted from

Anyone heard of this so called Pavel injury during training today?

Yeah, it seems like a muscle strain from the sorts of it, and not too bad but could rule him out for a week or so. Depends, sometimes they can recover from strains next day.
Camoranesi and Zanetti are making good progress. I still can’t believe Marchionni has stayed healthy the entire time since he came back in October.

well let giovinco step in and show everyone why hes meant to be the next big thing! its a disgrace he isnt playing more

Yeah hopefully Giovinco gets the nod, but when this happened before we put De Ceglie at left wing because he plays defense well. Although playing a team like Lecce, perhaps Giovinco will actually get to start rather than the 15 minutes at the end of the match.

I’d like to see Giovinco play up front to give De Ceglie the left-wing spot, PDC hasn’t been playing too much recently.

Ale, I think the perfect replacement for pavel would be Arshavin.

ALESSIO BRAVO…great pics…the fascist from lazio are beating milan in the coppa italia …milanisti figlio di troia… on a lighter note i hope we keep up the pace that we only let down in the meazza and in st. petersburg so i hope empoli will be a good game to build up the strength and pressure for the game agaisnt AC. …forza juve campeonato di invierno

Ugh, no Arshavin. I used to have respect for the guy before he whored himself to any and every side that showed the slightest interest in bringing him out of Russia. He’s talented, no doubt, but I don’t see him working in Turin
