seen the first half, pretty equal but Juve are playin much smoother football, Gio has been in and out but very good when on the ball, Camo good, Marchisio decent, Molinaro went off injured, Zebina also decnt, can’t judge Melo, he hasn’t been challenged yet

p.s. Iaquinta missed a real sitter

    Zebina looks gassed.

Melo needs to stop picking up freaking cards, unbelievable how much he’ll be suspended this year, we’re going to need a healthy midfield.

Trez has missed some terrible sitters but I think he’s just out of form. Once he nails one I think he’ll get back into it, he’s not very confident and coming off a lost year right now.

total domination by Juve but cannot finish.

how fucking sexy was Zanetti’s chipped pass to Iaquinta?

bad luck for Zebina, he looks like he’s gonna mean business this year, he has the face of a very motivated man.

whoever said Trez sucks at life does not know the first thing about football, what with Trez being the best out and out striker of the last 10 years, he just needs to find some form.

if juve had scored their chances today they would have won this 4-0

two things: why such silly attempt from ADP? and why Legro, not Grygera?

villa’s keeper is goooood on the other hand, on 120 mins plus he read all of our penalties

the penalties of iaquinta and del piero were the most horrible I’ve ever seen. positive was camoranesi yet again, lets hope if he stays injury -free this season,…major difference in midfield!

    The good news however-
    http://juventus.com/site/eng/NEWS_newseventi_28385D1EFA564EFA926246AAAA817408.asp
Trezeguet: «I am not leaving Juventus»
The Peace Cup was lost marginally, but all the supporters of Juventus still have an important reason to be satisfied, independently from the manner by which the team played in the four matches in Andalusia.

It is David Trezeguet who gave the most awaited piece of news which brings to an end all the speculation which characterised the beginning of the new season: «I am definitely staying at Juventus for the whole season. After 10 years in Turin I don’t think its right to leave now. At the back of this decision is the decisive support of those who backed me in the recent period that is, the management, the coach, my mates and the supporters».

Alessio how can you like Trez so much, he has been absolutely shocking for us in all pre season games and when hes on form hes out of action for 90% of the game, i say get rid of him because hes just taking space, commanding an undeserved first team spot and a pay packet that is massive

Because he has a proven track record of being one of the best strikers in Europe, and he scores in big games, has no issues choking like a big Swede. He’s rusty, that’s all. He had surgery, then didn’t play for a long time, he just needs a run out. Do you guys remember who Trezegol is? Top foreign scorer of all time, and that’s when we’ve had players like Platini. He’s 21 from being the 2nd all-time behind ADP, that is astounding.

Who cares if we lose the Peace Cup final, a bummer, but it’s a preseason tournament, no one cares.

Yea, i agree with keeping Trez. When he’s on form, he’s a goal-scoring machine. But again, the same could be said about Amauri, whose younger than Trez and quite possibly is Trez’s replacement. Oh, but i heard the commentator on GolTV say Trez has had a hard time scoring goals for 3 years or something like that, and 5 years ago wouldve put all these chances he had tonight away. The second part is true. The first part, i guess the commentator forgot the 07-08 season where Trez was second top-scorer only after ADP.

The fact of the matter is though, pre-season tournament or not, if Amauri and ADP started this game, we wouldve won the Peace Cup, because Trez and Iaquinta fucked up big time, they had numerous sitters and just couldnt put it away. And i cant blame ADP for fucking up on his spot kick, because again, if he and Amauri had started the game, it wouldnt have went to penalties in the first place.

Also, i have no idea why Legro took the last spot kick instead of Zebina, Grygera, or Zanetti. Not to mention that to me, we didnt seem as solid at the back today as we did against Real Madrid when Cannavaro partnered Chiellini at the back. And keep in mind, Real also have a stronger attack than Aston Villa.

But all in all, like Alessio said, it’s a preseason tournament, and really doesnt matter. Plus, it seems like alot of our players are not quite on form yet, such as Marchisio, Trezeguet, and Iaquinta. Not to mention we’re missing Sissoko, one of our best players last season, and Diego, who talent-wise is our best player. And we started this game with our two off-form striker instead of the two on-form ones, and without Salihamidzic and Tiago as well, who have both been great throughout this tournament.

One more thing though. It’s good to see Buffon, Camoranesi, Zebina, Giovinco, Melo, Tiago, Brazzo, Chiellini, and Zanetti all on form. Some of them, especially Buffon for example, has been missing his best form for a while.

Missed the game and just saw the highlights. I’m so tired of players nowadays trying to be “cute” with their pks. The worse I’ve seen was Vucinic’s in the CL against Arsenal last season; single-handedly cost Roma a place in the last 8. It’s time to cut this “cute” bullshit out. Just slap it home already! The next time a player tries that, and especially if they miss, they should be fined or possibly stoned!
