PotD: The Juventus Family
By: alessio | November 19th, 2009So with Thanksgiving (for us Yanks) and the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza/etc season coming up, people are all about spending time with their family, until they realize how much they cannot stand constant interaction, and head to the bars. It is no coincidence the night before Thanksgiving is the largest drinking holiday in the United States. So, without further ado, while you can’t stand your family, here’s some photos of Juventini with their family that is sure to make the men jealous, and the women all swoony about Juventini spending time with their children. Pictures after the jump.

Gigi out for a ride with Louis Thomas Buffon and his girlfriend, Alena Seredova

The Iaquinta family. His sons facial expressions are pretty priceless.

Early 2000s Nedved family portait

If you look on the left, Camo’s son is definitely copping a feel on his mom

I imagine one of these kids was born in Argentina or Mexico, and the other maybe in Italy. Talk about an identity crisis, being Italo-Argentine-Mexican.

ADP playing with young Tobias Del Piero. Below, a treat for all the female Juve fans (Kasia)

Brazzo and his Spanish wife, Esther. His son looks straight from “A Christmas Story.”

Marchisio and his wife, Roberta. She is a Toro fan, her dad played in the Torino Primavera and then had a middling career of Serie C and Serie D clubs, though supposedly the rest of her family is Juventino.

Between Buffon’s girlfriend, Nedved’s wife, and Grygera’s, I need to go to the Czech Republic. Soon.
And though this has nothing to do with the above photos, this will make many of you nostalgic:

Yep, you nailed it Ale. As I said, she is super smokin
When I lived in Rome a lot of the Romanistas were teasing Totti that Blasi wanted to marry Zebina first but he refused so she settled for Totti. John, I don’t think he’s gay though/Posted from

Wonderful! I love the pic of Alex and his son. Makes me feel for one of my own…
One thing I like about the Italian footballers is that a lot of them end up marrying their long time sweethearts, rather than dating a bunch of models. Look at Cannavaro for instance; with his looks and fame he could get pretty much any woman he wanted, but he married his long time sweetheart, who he honestly is better looking than. But that’s love…that’s true love.
P.S. Is anyone on here married and/or has kids?

Grygera = Basshunter???
Camo= Taboo (Black eyed peas) ???Posted from

Jack: Is his wife’s name Anna? Is she a bot? LMAO. Camo does look a bit like Taboo. Just Mauro’s face looks wider than Taboo’s.
Nnahoj: Married?! Kids?! Just kidding. I’m 19 so no/no.Posted from

gazzetta showing del piero on the left wing for this match, any truth to him playing? also, what is the status on marchisio’s injury and recovery?

Great pics alessio! Up until now (shame on me) I didn’t even know Trez was married. Guess he keeps his personal life pretty low-profile (that, and the only real “fanatic” watching his games is his mom).
Also cf the last picture, I’m nostalgic indeed. You just couldn’t resist slipping one in with Tacchinardi huh?

Great pics! That last one brought back some great memories. Vialli’s hair is priceless lol.
Poor Marchisio is married to a Toro fan lol.
And who is that in the blue and red dress with the black hair in Cannavaro’s family pic?

“Does the Premier League tempt you? No, not really,” he exclusively told Calcio Italia magazine.
In an in-depth interview with the football monthly, on sale today, the South American explains how desperate he was to join the Old Lady of Italian football.
“To play for Juventus was a childhood dream,” he noted. “I have admired the Bianconeri since I was a young boy, since before I started my professional career. “Juve and I is a long history of love. We have had some conversations before but nothing concrete came off until this summer.”
The Turin giants completed his £22m transfer following months of courtship and after Bayern Munich made a late bid. “Bayern Munich is a big club and they have good players,” he noted. “As with other teams, my manager discussed the possibilities but they did not come to anything.”
Now in Turin, the former Werder Bremen ace is hungry for honours at home and abroad.
“I want to win as much as is possible,” he added. “I came here to win things and I hope I can help the Old Lady to put some more trophies in the cabinet. “I am convinced that here is where I will play most of my football.”
Only time will tell if he’s telling the truth, but grande Diego!!

I love the bullshit the media spews during the international breaks. This is a sentence that made me LOL from an article on Yahoo Soccer saying “Ancelotti insists he will not leave the Blues in order to replace current boss Marcello Lippi.” The best part is this sentence: “Ancelotti has been linked with replacing Marcelo Lippi, who is expected to return to Juventus.” Oh boy. Sometimes I think journalists have the easiest jobs in the world.

Two-day match bans are pretty standard for swearing at the ref. Let’s if Maicon “magically” gets a one-day ban that will allow him to play in the Derby d’Italia.

Alessio, Yeah we ll find out. Did expect them to win today. Tomorrow is a must win for us and hope they slip with fiorentina.

I have been getting a lot of Serie A games here in Australia, and for some reason they keep showing Parma, and Lanzafame is really finding his feet there! He has scored a couple in the past few games and his freeekick taking is magnificent, always spot on, maybe one to look out for, very very versatile as well.
