    Lads AND ladies :).
  • New post should be up by game time lads. Sorry for the delay, I've been feeling a little under the weather as of late.
  • Kasia
Even if he thinks so, what's the point in telling everyone?
  • agiamba
What an idiot. Complete wrong thing to say, particularly when you're in a major scoring drought.

Adam, I know a good amount Guberti. Where'd you read that?
  • juventini
  • adam
Appearantly we've signed Stefano Guberti from Bari, anyone know much about him?
  • adam
I doubt that's the case Alex, Samp obviously want him to replace Cassano if he's sold. I don't see Ranieri approving of Cassano, he's too slow.
  • alex

this cant be true?! whats the matter with your management you have the most exciting prospect in all of italy but they are obsessed with cassano?! hes amazing but you dont need him
  • mac
Weston..... I'm not sure you can really fairly compare Roma's medical ward to Juve's. That will be no excuse though, because like it our not Roma is coming play. Juve needs to win this game just as bad as Roma does. Regardless of who is in the starting 11, this will be a hotly contested game. I can't wait for kick off either. Just for the record, if Juve does not win then you guys suck donkey dick. HEE HAW

i'm literally counting days till the game....
2 more days! i'm really anxious...

im sure he agrees with the pope that condoms arent the answer to preventing the spread of AIDS and that dinosaur bones were put there by god to test peoples faith. nothing wrong with religion but there is when people shove it in your face. i had alot of respect for legro until he started spouting off about god. how can people believe in angels and the devil but then say that dragons and vampires cant be real?

anyway....i keep reading that silva is close to becoming a juve player?! lets hope secco can pull it off as silva is one of the top players in the world and still only 23. you will have a quality team for the next 10 years with this transfer policy as i hear your after bellusci as well plus you have youth players coming through all the time. its sad to say but i think camoranesi isnt going to make a big impact for you again hes to injury prone and 32. fausto rossi could be the answer

The piccoli gobbi came close to a treble...oh well.
  • Primavera, cup hopes fade away…

The dream of a “grand slam” faded away at its best moment. Less then a month after the triumph in the Viareggio Cup, the Primavera said goodbye to the Coppa Italia and in the strangest of manners. Against Roma, in the 2nd leg of the semi-final, the team did not manage to take advantage of the 2-2 obtained in Rome and said goodbye to its cup hopes. At the Chisola the match ended 2-0 for the giallorossi who took advantage of a shocking start to the match making the encounter theirs.

The story of the match lasted 11 minutes in reality, just the time for Mladen and Tovalieri (son of Sandro a well known striker in the 80s and 90s) to score one each and put a heavy weight on the match.

In the remaining 80 minutes (plus stoppage time), the bianconeri attacked in search of extra-time at least. Together with Immobile, Esposito, Rossi and Daud, came on Yago – for an injured Marrone and Giovinco.

Daud hit an incredible post in the first half and goalkeeper Frasca and his colleagues in the defence did the rest.

Juventus bids farewell to the Coppa Italia just one step away from the final. Roma proceed and will now await the winner between Genoa and Milan. The first round of the double-challenge went to the giallorossi and it is now up to Ranieri’s team to even the bill.

damn, roma is missing Marco Cassetti, Simone Perrotta, Cicinho, Juan, Rodrigo Taddei, Alberto Aquilani, Daniele De Rossi David Pizarro, Solueymane Diamoutene and Marco Motta!!!
that's crazy, we have to win this game!!
sure they have mexes, brighi and menez...but a draw would be unacceptable, i can't see inter losing points anytime soon and we still have an away game against milan
  • agiamba
Milan has a few, Abate, Paloschi, but none of them are getting the space at Milan they deserve.

Re: Marchisio, I've believed in him for a while. Here's a quote from me in the pre-season predictions.
    http://juventus.theoffside.com...

Who will be our breakout star this season?
Alessio:Hard decision, I think all our signings will do well. I was enthusiastic about signing Tiago, but he had shown elements of his lack of “personality” before, and Almiron was unproven at a top level. I can’t see that happening to our new arrivals. Maybe nothing eye-popping, but I don’t think they’ll flop.

Everyone says Giovinco, and I think he will light it up. I’ll go with Marchisio though, he really impressed me against Artmedia. I’d been talking him up before but he distributed the ball well with good passing, showed some good individual skills, and showed no hesitation in challenging for the ball. His performance made me forget about Xabi Alonso already, let’s hope he continues to grow.
  • alex
how is it you have all these quality players, dare i say potential world class players, coming through your youth team and milan literally has nothing?! inter has a couple and roma maybe has brosco and d'alessandro but milan has nothing? criscito, giovinco, marchisio off the top of my head are all going to be world class i reckon. giovinco will be the next italian No.10 legend, marchisio is turins answer to de rossi and criscito is the new cannavaro but more versatile
  • adam
Yea, poor guy while everyone is kneeling he's still standing.
  • agiamba
Wow, great find adam. I recognize about 5 of them, look at Giovinco with hair!
  • adam
    Came across photo, pretty cool.

Sam, the writer got the idea from
    http://www.channel4.com/sport/...
  • alex
well your other options seem to be david silva (amazing but very injury prone), ribery (would cost 30-40m) or florent malouda. if thats true god help you hes shite. and if thats seccos idea of a replacement for pavel then hes a bigger twat than i previously thought. and giovinco is second striker, he plays his best football when he plays in del pieros position. diego is an attacking midfielder of course they can play in the same team
  • Sam
have you guys read this article?

    http://www.goal.com/en/news/17...
  • Sam
Yeah i agree Diego and Giovinco cannot co exsist and i definatly prefer Giovinco to Diego as he is our youth product and i tihnk he is better. and that attacking trident just isint goin to happen. I just think we needa young qucikish forward and a left wigner with giovicno beign the AMC, and wat a AMC he will be!
  • alex
why not? an attacking trident of diego, giovinco and amauri? it would be lethal!
  • agiamba
Unless we're Milan, Giovinco and Diego can't co-exist in the starting XI.
  • alex
you need a new manager, one that can use a different formation. prandelli? then he could bring montolivo with him who looks far from committed to fiorentina? marchisio and montolivo? M&M?! that would be a world class midfield. even better if he brough montolivo, gamberini and pasqual! never going to happen but that would sort you out big time
  • alex
hes an attacking midfielder who scores a shitload of goals he would play behind giovinco and amauri
  • agiamba

    Chiellini: operation perfectly successful

This morning Giorgio Chiellini underwent an operation for the reduction of the fracture to the nasal bone at the Chivasso Hospital. The operation lasted less then half an hour and was carried out by Dr Libero Tubino and was perfectly successful.

The player will be discharged in the coming hours and will be able to participate in contrast-free training on Wednesday.
  • agiamba
Diego isn't a center-mid, though. I don't want Diego ever on our team because if he's there, Gio won't be.
  • alex
diego is the player that will take this team to the next level. a 3 man midfield of marchisio, sissoko (as long as he literally doesnt move from the front of defence and just plays short balls) and d'agostino or cigarini with diego playing behind giovinco and amauri think of the one touch passing, pace, dribbling, skills, shooting etc it would be mental! diego is one of the best players in europe and giovinco is soon to be in the top 3 in the world if secco picks out some good signings you will have a quality team
  • Sam
hey, yeha on the Nedved replacement issue, i really think we should get yury Zirkov, just like neved he is more industrius than creative and his defensive duties arent forgotten. I know he would succeed in Serie A. But I would also love David Silva, he is extremly creative, he is one of those players who can make something out of nothing. But somethign tels me he would strrugle to play well in Serie A at start.
  • agiamba
Solid review as ever by Marco (of ADP Offside fame) of the game on Mcalcio.

Haha Caroe that was one of my first thoughts when he first started bleeding. If it wasn´t so goddamn big...

Pauly, still around, just busy as hell.
  • Pauly WaLNuts (AS Roma)
Anyways, as I posted somewhere else where your brethren spend their time, I'd like to say congrats on the recent victory. The Giovinco show was absolutely enjoyable! Ranieri better be wise enough to let Giovinco spred his wings and do his thing......

just make sure you over take Inter in the standings when the season is all done.

    Grazie
  • Pauly WaLNuts (AS Roma)
So what is this? I spend my days and nights somewhere else, so I didn't know my man Alessio doesn't write for this blog anymore?

Is it because he is in Spain now?
  • Sofia
i love that photo!! i think it pretty much sums up the match yesterday! second half was tremendous! I love both marchisio and giovinco. I definitely think that Marchisio is making a name for himself and I'm so happy that he is finally getting the acknowledgment he deserves! He and Giovinco both deserve starting positions from now on!
