Oh Shit.
By: alessio | August 17th, 2008As of 10pm EST, Juventus.com is calling it a sprained knee. (~1 month out) The Gazzetta says there’s damage (maybe strained, not torn) to the ligaments. (6 weeks-6 months) Every tifoso bianconero is saying “oh shit.”
One last piece of news, Legrottaglie has been called up by Lippi to the National side for the upcoming friendly to replace Chiellini. Good, he should have been going instead of Barzagli or Bonera, but of course he says he’d rather be going with Giorgio instead of him. I don’t know if Lippi is planning on playing him, but I swear to God, if Legro gets injured, no more preseason games for any Juventino, we’ve had enough injuries.

Yeah that was a great thing to see.

Marco, what do you think of this picture?
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/gallery/twohundredandnine13.htmlI just hope Molinaro told Ranieri “vaffanculo” or something that might break their bizarre man-love! The bench calls, Cristian!
Ahah you wish alessio. CM all the way!
I just wish he gets 20 assists this season just to shut you up.Posted from

Marco we all wouldn’t mind eating our words regarding Molinaro.

Ditto, Adam. I’d love for him to shut me up, but I don’t see it happening. Let’s hope De Ceglie has a season like Giorgio last year!

Did anyone watch this Serie A preview on FSC today? Watching it now, not sure if this was the first showing of it or not.

hmmmm just got Rai Italia installed for the first time and this is a player i wouldve definatly have loved to see. Dammit! we’ll miss his thumping headers into the back of the net for the first 6 weeks. Think this is Mellbergs chance? I would love to see young de ceglie belt down the wing!

Tiago to Everton -> http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=824938
1m euros on loan with option to buy for 10m next summer. Could almost make our money back.
Also, Mutu picked up an injury (they have not said how bad yet) during International duties. This could maybe offset the first match of the season missing Chiellini.. although you just never like to see any players get injured like this. With all of our call-ups (I believe 10), lets hope there are no more injuries.

Actually found the injury on the Viola website, looks like he dislocated his elbow. Mutu will be out for 20 days or so, missing their CL 2nd leg and the match with Juve.

Yess. While I’d never wish an injury on a player, Mutu out of the Viola’s lineup does give me massive relief.
And yes, we have 10 call ups- Grygera for Czech Republic, Sissoko for Mali, Manninger for Austria, Poulsen for Denmark, Mellberg for Sweden, and Camoranesi, Legro, Iaquinta, Buffon, and ADP for Italy. Makes me proud, but I hope none come back injured.

Camoranesi’s gonna skip Wednesday’s friendly. He’s still struggling with some muscular problems apparently. No news yet about whether he’ll stay with the team, or fly back to Turin.

I think Iaquinta is skipping also, read it at channel4 if I remember correctly.

Thank god Giovinco came back healthy.

Delps will be playing in the trident tomorrow for Lippi with Di Natale and Gila.

I hope he plays in a good position for him. But then again, if anyone knows Alex it’s Lippi.

Calisi, Iaquinta is feeling better now. He’s staying with the Azzurri.
Simply based on who’s more in form, I expect an ADP-Gilardino-Iaquinta attack on Wednesday.

Yeah I would hope Iaquinta over Di Natale, and probably should have had Cassano in over Gilardino? I didn’t think his Fiorentina goal was that great but I didn’t watch the whole match so not sure how well he played.

Check out this Juve flag my girlfriend saw this past weekend. http://frankv.calise.us/images/juve-flag.jpg , was at an Italian festival in Cleveland.

I’ve seen that one. Awesome that it was spotted in the States. I’d absolutely love to buy a flag but I haven’t seen a good one online, that one is nice but too cluttered for me. If anyone knows of a site for a good one or a specific link, rest assured that flag will be hanging proud on my wall all season long, thanks to you!

Really nice flag. Shame the number on the Scudetto badge is wrong:D

It is being reported that Ibra is down with a knee injury again. If this is true, it would be interesting to see Inter without Adriano and him for a few matches. Although, the team does have 96 strikers so it is probably no issue. I wouldn’t mind seeing Inter dropping points early though
