I think one of the main problems we have agreeing who is gonna play where, is that no one have the same criteria regarding positions. We've seen that with the discussion last season about trequartista's role and ADP. Now I think people doesn't really get the idea of a regista (maybe I'm one of those). I know this is an english forum, but as a reference here you have 2 articles in spanish written by the espn "expert" in Italian football.

Trequartista:

Sam, if you go to livescore.com, they tell you the time difference of the moment you are at the site to the moment it starts. I find it very useful.

Unfortunately I have to work while the game is on tonight. Can anyone please post or find a torrent of it after the match or tomorrow? I would really like to watch it. Thanks

I don't think Marchisio has the natural vision to be a great regista, but moreso I'd rather him not too. Being a regista would confine his growth, he's the all around CM, capable of playing anywhere on the pitch. Playing regista, while a very difficult position, would limit his impact offensively. (at least in a direct manner)

My prediction is that Marchisio is gonna turn into a great regista. He showed glimpses of it in the last two games of the season, grabbing a nice assist and a goal. If he can keep that up, then we'd have a perfect midfield: A hard-hitting defensive mid (Sissoko), a regista (Marchisio), a box-to-box midfielder (Melo), and a trequartista (Diego). Plus with two attacking midfielders (Camo and Tiago), plus a trequartista (Giovinco), and a great central midfielder (Zanetti) on the bench, we'd be fine. And by the way, with Sissoko and Melo pretty much guaranteed to get those starting spots in the 3-man midfield, i would much rather have Marchisio or Camo then Tiago.

Overall, i think we should sign Caceres, and see how he works as a wingback. Even without him though, we still have Brazzo whose quality, and De Ceglie whose a future star. They just need to be played more, instead of Grygera and Molinaro.

This is how we should play this upcoming season:

------------------------Buffon
Salihamidzic--Legrottaglie--Chiellini--De Ceglie
-----------Marchisio----Sissoko----Melo
------------------------Diego
-----------------Del Piero--Amauri

Yeah, I have my fingers crossed for Tiago, although he already said he likes to push forward without caring that much for the defensive part of the job. Anyway, he might rise some eyebrows.
