Wish I was able to watch it, but I’ve got an econ exam. It’ll be a cracker, that’s for sure. Forza Juve! Alessio come on. What’s more important? Your education or this game. Join the cool kids around the back of your college and smoke something purple. For those of us already in a haze, I’ve embedded a live ESPN Deportes feed after the jump. At least you can practice your Spanish Alessio.

"least i support my hometown team'

Wow, you know nothing about me do you? You really are just talking out of your asshole.

I support my home town team too... which if you were paying attention instead of talking shit about people who support Inter, you would know, since I posted about them before.
  • alessandro d'agostino
least i support my hometown team

"you even from milano? you even italiano? or you an argie glory supporting interista twat who thinks he rock hard when in fact hes an absolute pussy and talks tough on internet chat rooms? thats me addressing you"

Whatever I am, at least I know who I support. I don't have three other teams that I wish I supported, Voyeur.

I am also not 2-faced enough that I don't talk shit to a person/about a person and then turn around and then fake being civil to them, thats for sure. You got the wrong chump, chump.
  • I don't assume a Gazzetta journalist would come to a favorable outcome, Ursus.
But I hear Milan has gotten 4 consecutive rigori in 4 home games, they must be match-fixing.
  • Sushan[ACM]
Fuck u guys. Milan were screwed by refs last season , where were u then??? numerous decisions were poor. Lets face , the refs in serie a are horseshit.
  • alessandro d'agostino
you are a right prick arent you MAD. you even from milano? you even italiano? or you an argie glory supporting interista twat who thinks he rock hard when in fact hes an absolute pussy and talks tough on internet chat rooms? thats me addressing you

    MAD, it's a tense issue.

Moggi hasn't gone to jail yet, because this is Italy and pretty much no one with money goes to jail (Exhibit A in this respect being the current Prime Minister).

    Jail-time for bonzo:
    http://uk.reuters.com/article/...

Is alessandro talking to me, after all the shit he's been saying about Inter for the past three or four months?

The same guy who thought that he had some right to tell me what to think and write about... is this guy now addressing me?
  • alessandro d'agostino
its true collina hates juve but MAD and alessio i think its milans turn to bribe the referees this season they are playing merda but are getting ridiculous decisions all the time
  • Who went to jail?
  • MAD
I don't have to claim conspiracy, if the guy went to jail for the crime.

I could just claim proven fact.
  • Well he designated Lazio the wrong ref for tonight then.

Collina is a good professional, I don't think Juve have grounds to complain about refs in general but they don't get as much protection as some think.
  • Except he's referee designator now.
  • Collina didn't reveal he was a laziale until after he ended his career. He knew he was meant to be unbiased when he officiated but he "came out" about his love for Lazio because he had no reason to keep the silence anymore.
  • Yeah, that was some bullshit too, Cathal. Player flops on top of our keeper, yet somehow the goal stands. I wonder how MAD would react if that had happened to his side, clearly it would have been a conspiracy against Inter.
  • I had no idea, I did a quick Google search but it seems you're right. I'm well over that day, but didn't his ties come up in the media after that? That seems pretty blatant. I was only like 12 or 13 back then, so I didn't read news or anything like I do now.

    and then there's that one...
  • Collina is a laziale...perhaps that explains it?
  • MAD, feel free to ask Ursus on this one, who hates Juve himself. Everyone in the peninsula knows Collina does not like Juve and he's screwed us in many games, key one being Perugia-Juventus.
  • MAD
Sure. That's why he makes sure you get taken care of.

In a completely unrelated and in no way shape or form does this have to do with anything else-- he has a nice watch I understand. A gift, from... friends... with a syringe second hand.
  • MAD......Collina hates Juve.
  • calisi
Alot of top table teams went down today, that's some good news too.
  • MAD
    They don't listen to me.

I root for the wrong team, in this case.

Just sign "Juve" at the end of the note. Include a case of turtle wax for Collina, per the standing order.

There is no doubt what the subject matter will be. It hasn't changed since 1994.
  • I expect two penalties and an offside goal, MAD. Please forward it to the appropriate referee.
  • MAD
    Won't matter.

Final score is written down already.

The only suspense is how many Juve decide they need to make up goal difference.
  • Good news.
  • calisi
Cordoba just got his 5th yellow against Palermo so he is out for the derby.
  • Yeah, Poulsen like Zanetti is much more than just a ball-winner, but he's not fully adapted to Serie A yet. Sissoko-Poulsen was effective in midfield, but not terribly productive as far as getting the ball to the front line.

It'll be really interesting to see how Ranieri decides to finish up the last 2 CL games, I really would like to see Giovinco play at least 90 in one of them. With Real Madrid completely imploding, maybe it'll be easier for us to win the group. By the way, everyone remember how our win over them was the "turning point" of the season? Same for them. They went into that game on a roll, since then they've been losing in La Liga, lost to a 3rd-division side in the Copa del Rey, etc. Van Nistelrooy out for the season.......lost today to Vallaloid.
  • daniel
Vialli - First thing he did (poulsen) amazing pass to iaquinta against brondby. what an assist. Alessio exellent article i cant agree more that what we had been lacking was creation in the midfield i dont we totally have it locked down yet. but im really looking forward to see the CM link up with the winger to spread the play camo and nedved did that most of last year. my biggest hope is that by january we can go ahead and look for some star caliber reenforcement of creatin qualities and he dosent have to a CM per se (maybe diego or joaquin) by the way really looking forward for next sat. DERBY D'ITALIA...interista pezzo di merdaaaa...forza juve ale
  • Vialli
oh btw, Poulsen have more to offer than DM. His long-shot quite deadly, and his long pass too. Remember how he were giving Iaquinta long ball assist for his goal on pre-season match ? or perhaps on ECL qualification. I forgot.
  • Vialli
    @alessio

Nice article. And you're right. Right now, we have DM in Sissoko, and Poulsen. Regista in Tiago, (perhaps) Marchisio. I think Zanetti is fit into both category.

This is a good mix. We can play Sissoko/Poulsen - Tiago/Marchisio/Zanetti. Or perhaps, if we need to win ball more, just play Sissoko/Zanetti - Poulsen/Zanetti. And yeah, i think Tiago should stay. He'll be a good long-term replacement for Zanetti.

Yes, ADP is in killer form. But he can't play every match. That's where Giovinco should be slotted in. Like, Play it on Coppa Italia or on the last 2 matches of ECL, since we already qualified.

If you noticed how he play for the last 5 mins on Juve vs Genoa, you'll see how he roams across the field disturbing defenses, while looking for opportunities with his speed (and tenacity ?). The 4th goal is created because of his speed stealing ball from Genoa defender, and pass it to Camo.

Now, who will be Nedved's heir then ?
  • I agree, Vialli. Here's my thoughts on the current situation I posted elsewhere;

Excellent article in the Gazzetta the other day that really summed up what I've been thinking, http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/...
It basically argues that the reason Juve has been winning so much lately is with Marchisio and Poulsen's injury, we had to play Nedved and Tiago in the center, who acted as registas. Regista is Italian for a movie director, but it describes a central midfielder who can "direct" play, Pirlo is the classic example. It says while Marchisio is a good complete midfielder, he's less of a regista than Tiago/Nedved in center. Debatable, but I'd say true for now but Marchisio certainly can develop into the role. And Poulsen is a mediano, or a ball-winner. The question is, will Ranieri move back to two DMs when people are healthy? The article ignores Zanetti since he probably won't be back till 2009.

I think we've played very well with a regista. People criticize Ranieri for playing 2 DMs...well, he doesn't typically do it. Yeah, C. Zanetti is a defensive midfielder but he's much more of that. I wouldn't quite call him a regista but he was the the focal point of our midfield last year, complimented by Nocerino in the 1st half of the season and Sissoko in the 2nd. Provided Tiago continues in good form, I think he'll see plenty of playing time. I wouldn't mind seeing Nedved play CM more, he was excellent there but as others have mentioned Giovinco doesn't offer the same workethic and defensive qualities Pavel does on the wings.

I should mention that as I've said, my preferred formation is a 4-4-2 with a mediano and a regista with defensive qualities, so that's why I'm so glowing about it. I'm not sure where Giovinco fits into this...a regista is nearly the opposite of a CAM, Ranieri doesn't seem to want to play him on the wing (defensive duties, perhaps) and ADP is just in killer form right now. I do like the kid and would love to see him play, but right now we need to keep the momentum going, tinkering with the formation seems like a bad idea.

Speaking of Giovinco, like a true bianconero, he's said he's patient, he's waiting for his chances and he's only thinking of Juve, not of a loan. There's a video of his interview on the site as well, he seems calm about it. Of course he'd like to play more he says the results justify Ranieri right now. He's no Balotelli...grande Giovinco.
  • vialli
for Giovince. i don't think he's suitable for Nedved's heir. He doesn't have good defensive ability.
He's more suitable as Del Piero's Heir.
  • The question Deb, do you think this winning streak is merely catch-up? Or is it that winning streak that can bring us glory?
  • Deb, dont you dare jinx our run now!
  • hahaha daniel where have you been all this time lol!

adam, you bring up a very good point. As if playing on two fronts isn't hard enough. Giovinco needs to be integrated much more as we gear up for what hopefully is a deep CL run.
  • daniel
guys recapping the match... tacticlly i think we looked very stong despite few errors in tha back. all defenders stepped up. i specilly liked how thiago stood, marchioni also played very good till camo's return since bologna ( en hora buena camo) iaquinta is a beast i would really like to see ranieri give hime more than 12 mins as a sub. he is the only pure inside-the-box striker now that trezegol is out. in a nut shell i think we played very good and we have 10 to rest for the derby d'italia P.S. INTERISTA PEZZO DI MERDA... forza juve ale...!!!
  • all looking good for you at the moment tho. wattched last twenty minutes, ADP looks good to take the golden ball off ronaldo nxt year if he keeps it up.
