I've heard that rumor, and I don't buy it. Supposedly it explained all the thigh strains, the location is more humid which apparently creates more muscle strains than normal. Supposedly Capello refused to train there because of it. Here's my problems with this story-
#1- Vinovo didn't open until Summer '06, so Capello couldn't train there.
#2- Injuries seem to be on a cycle of every few years. Roma and Inter have similar injury issues yet they have been at their respective training facilities for a while, Inter for 50 years or so.
#3- It doesn't explain why we had few injuries in Serie B.
#4- Supposedly it explains the strains that plagued Zanetti, ADP, Camoranesi, Zebina, Brazzo, etc. Notice their age, among other things. And the recent injury issues, knee meniscus problems (Iaquinta, Buffon, Marchisio) are not explained by the humidity problem.

So basically I think it's bunk, like Robee said, something we are reaching out to, to explain the current problem. I'm guessing training would be an issue, I think it's interesting Ferrara is having the team train a lot harder than under Ranieri as many of the players have stated, but most of the team is relatively healthy.

Vinovo is also named as a possible cause for all the injuries. Something about the surface... Well, people seek causes of course...

this injury crisis is a fucking joke, i do not understand if its just plain bad luck, or incompetence from the part of the juve medical board. something needs to be done, even if we have to equip our players with riot gear during a match to prevent injuries. but what annoys me also, is the amount of injuries that are occurring outside of our matches, during training and warm ups. The frequency of these 'non-match' injuries is simply not acceptable for a club like juve, and it shocks me to see that nothing has been done about it. SVEGLIA!

Juventus.com has reported it. Same issue as Marchisio and Buffon, and from what I've read it is a bad issue for the long-term, as they take some meniscus area out and it doesn't regenerate, so it'll keep getting worse in the future. That's ok for Buffon and Iaquinta who are nearing the end of their careers, but who knows what'll happen to Marchisio.

Between Amauri and Trez, who would you rather start right now? Both are "sorta" getting there.

well, i guess then we'll have to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation since we have too many games for only two strikers....and if Ferrara is insisting on playing with a 4-3-1-2, then he should use Giovinco as a SS

time to get creative Ciro....
