Stadio Olimpico Torino

Rimini
Handanovic; Baccin,Vitiello ,Porchia, Bravo; Cristiano, Cascione, Pagano, Ricchiuti, Valiani; Jeda

Juventus
Buffon; Birindelli, Zebina, Chiellini, Balzaretti; Camoranesi, Giannichedda, Marchisio, Nedved; Trezeguet, Del Piero

Team News- Coach Deschamps is without defender Boumsong and midfielders Paro and Zanetti through injury. Boumsong will be replaced with Zebina moving to the center of defense and Paro and Zanetti are replaced with Giannichedda and youngster Marchisio in the center of midfield. For Rimini they are without defenders Regonesi and Peccarisi who will be replaced with Dario Baccin and Paolo Bravo.

Outlook – Rimini who have been a major suprise in Serie B this season look to improve upon their 4th place position today. They hold the honor of being the first team in history to play Juventus in Serie B and held them to a 1-1 draw way back in the start of the season. The star of the team is leading scorer Brazilian Jeda with 10 goals who will look to trouble the makeshift Juventus defense. No real stars on the Rimini side but they have meshed well to some excellent results. For Juve, youngster Claudio Marchisio will look to make a statement as he gets a start in the center of the midfield. Camoranesi will look to continue his remarkable hot streak and Del Piero looks to continue his goal scoring campaign. Also veteran Pavel Nedved will look to improve upon his great outing against Lecce and lead his team to another victory by controlling the left side of the field. This will be a interesting match as Rimini were not favored to be hanging so close to the top so far along, as they look for promotion. Juve is only a few points away from wrapping up promotion, and wont let Rimini hold them back at home. Look for a 2-0 win for the Bianconeri as we move another step closer.

also to note, my prayers are with all of those at Virginia Tech who have been affected by this horrific tragedy.

we fought hard but could only manage a 0-0 draw. the only reason rimini stayed in the game was because their goalie saved their ass, also juve should have had something like 6 penelty kicks which is insane that the ref seemed to be the only one on the planet who didnt see them. the red card to birindelli was ludacris as well. overall impressed by juve’s performance but VERY disappointed with the officiating
