patcook: Oh hell no lol. What you just said is an absolute blasphemy. Seriously right now, Oddo is a shitty, 33 year old FULL BACK, I repeat: FULL BACK. He NEVER was anything outstanding as a player; he was good at Lazio(really, Lazio?)…played some part in Milan(but so has Favalli the last few years) and did nothing while on loan at Bayern. He needs to defend but also run up and down the flank for an entire match. Trez is a 32 year old STRIKER, his duty on the field is solely “to put it in”, which is something that he is still very much capable of doing(see Juve training @ Pinzolo/match against Cisco Roma).He did not play last season after undergoing double knee surgery. He is HUNGRY to return to play football regularly and to do what he can do best: “put it in”. Prior to that he has constantly been one of the absolute best strikers in the world. In Juve’s new formation he might not have a first team spot assured as there are others like Amauri,ADP,Giovinco and Iaquinta who are in contention, but that just shows you how competitive/high-quality Juve’s attack is. For fuck’s sake, look at Inzaghi(great player), who is still breaking records and scoring lots of goals and he’s older than Trez. Look at Julio Cruz the last few years: he never was even 1/2 of what Trezeguet can be as a player and he has helped Inter immensely with his goals. Please think before you post next time.

There is zero inclination that Trez is past it, given his scoring record and style of play, I don’t think so. The only reason people are saying Trez is past it is he had double-knee surgery (to prolong his career) and never got a run in the starting XI once back from injury. If he starts 20 games, I guarantee at least 10 goals for Trez in the upcoming game.

This season is going to be awesome for all Juventini. As great of a player as Sammy Eto’o is, I don’t think he will be able to fill Ibra’s void/role that well; with Kaka gone already, Roma in financial distress,Fiorentina not having made any progress in the transfer market we will have a huge chance of winning. =) If only we could get Santacroce or Motta then we would be completed…

P.S: Did any of you read how Secco’s dumbass actually saved someone’s life through a txt msg? I’m impressed lol.

I feel like Eto’o needs more service than Ibra. Which would ultimately mean he’s less of a threat. I can’t see how any juventino wouldn’t be pleased with Kaka and Ibra leaving the peninsula.

But of course, no deal is done yet unless all parties put their pen to paper. In any case, I’m off to enjoy the weekend at a cottage in beautiful eastern Canada near Lake Simcoe. Cheers everyone, Forza Juventus!
