A quick post about the Lazio match is up guys. It's kind of half-ass'd for reasons alessio already provided. It's horrible we know. Nonetheless it should be an entertaining one.

I think Del Piero would be just as effective behind the two strikers as up front with them, and overall it would just work better for the team, with both Trez and Amauri on the pitch at the same time, but without sacrificing ADP. And i dont think it's been that long, for example, if you watch the Italy-Germany 06 WC Semi-final, he played very deep, and did well.

Amelia and Manninger are on the same level in my opinion, both top notch keepers, some of the best in Serie A. And they might even have the ability to start over Frey if they were out Fiorentina, the only two teams where it's a certainty that they wouldnt be started is at Juventus (Buffon) and Inter (Cesar).

De Ceglie is much better than Molinaro at left back, and yea he can play left-midfielder too, but i think he's more effective as left-back (he's shown he can tackle, just look the beautiful, yet unfortunate tackle he did that got him injured), plus we have plenty to cover the left-mid position (Giovinco, Diego if he is signed, Nedved if he stays, and Tiago could probably play there too), whereas we only ahve Molinaro available at left-back, unless you want to put Chiellini there (that's what he was years ago), but we need Giorgio in the middle. And by the way, i'm pretty sure De Ceglie played left-back against Milan.

You dont think Baggio would do well? Yea, it would be his first managing position, but i think he would do great, he was probably the greatest italian player to ever play, that's the kind of thing that cant just be dismissed.

And at center back, we also have Ariaudo, so overall we have 4 center backs already available right now, with Chiellini, Legro, Mellberg, and Ariaudo. Plus when Knezevic comes back we have 5, and if Andrade ever recovers we'll have 6. I think that's plenty, even if Andrade doesnt make it back.

I think Roberto is working on one right now. Kind of sad but reflection of the competition that we both kinda forgot about it.

"But he was leaving way too much space back there and is arguably culpable on several goals."

exactly what molinaro does then. a player needs more than a 5 game run to show what hes got.

Haha whoa, chill out Sam.

Re: Amelia, I think Manninger is a better keeper. I think he could easily be starting for any team in Italy, except for Inter/Juve/Fiorentina. Yes, that includes Rioma.

Del Piero hasn´t played withdrawn in ages, and when he has, it hasn´t been too effective. He´s much better up front where he can get into the penalty area and cause problems.

At Center-back, Chiellini and Legro are solid. Mellberg is a great backup. But what if one of themw as out for 3-4 months? We´ve been very lucky this season with 2 center-backs injured all season that Legro/Chiellini have remained pretty much injury-free.

Speaking of watching games, have you seen De Ceglie at left-back? At the beginning of this season I was hoping for him to immediately replace Molinaro. But he was leaving way too much space back there and is arguably culpable on several goals. After seeing his display against Milan (and a few others) at a left-mid position, I´d much rather see him get the nod up there. If we don´t spill out for a left-mid, I see no problem in setting up De Ceglie as our starter.

Capello, fuck no. He might have won us titles, but we were miserable in Europe, alla Inter. Plus he´s a dirty traitor. I hated him to begin wtih though, so take that for what it´s worth. Baggio? No. I want a coach with experience, I´d like a young ambitious manager who has shown competence. If he´s Juventino, even better. My shortlist- Deschamps, Gasperini, Prandelli. And yes, it´s a coincidence all 3 are Bianconeri.

Any information regarding the Lazio tie? I heard rumours suggesting Del Piero and Buffon won't feature, I'm sure you guys know more.

There's a preview for the game on our blog now if you wish to check it out. I'm looking forward to this tie, hope to see a preview at your end.

Tomorrow is a test for us but I think it's the same for Juve. I think you have one of the world's best team builders but is Ranieri a real winner? I know you have some born winners on the field but can the coach give your youngsters the same mentality? It's one thing to be challenging and another to win trophies. I think to some extent, both Lazio and Juve have the same obstacles to overcome and for that reason, it should be a fascinating encounter despite the gulf in quality. What do you guys think?

Didnt see the Palermo game yesterday...

While i agree Nedved is at the end of his career, ADP and Trez still have some years left in them. Trez is only 31 (maybe 32), and ADP has said he wants to play till he's 40.

Armando, you still want Amelia after yesterday? Now thats some dedicated man love! j/k

Juve is underachieving in my opinion..If Chelsea knocks out Ranieri, I think Juve should soon follow. Im not going to go indepth, but basically Juves time is now..DelPiero, Trez, and obviously Nedved are at the end of their respective careers..Its time for some silverware and I am pretty sure the Tinkerman wont deliver
