And btw, Armando, idk if you play Football Manager, but it seems like it would be fun to play a season of Serie A against you. And I don’t waste my time playing FM against just anybody, so that should give you an idea of what I thought about your comment. If I had Ciro’s direct line I would have given it to you :)

im getting chills just thinking bout it…..i just ask for one thing, to bring it to Inter, ofcourse i do not want to lose, but more importantly i want the Juve that played against Roma, i want the Juve that played against Sampdoria….and yes, i would love to see Del Piero start instead of Amauri

    Great post, Armando.

I had an idea today, that I wanted to ask all of you. Could you write up a paragraph or two about the first memorable derby d’Italia for you as a Juventino? Email it to me at agiamba [at] gmail (dot) com, and do it soon if you can, nothing huge, just a recollection. I’m planning on putting it up in anticipation of the derby.

I love Football Manager myself, though I have to admit I tend to be more of a Claudio Ranieri or Mario Beretta than a Marcello Lippi…good at bringing mediocre teams to the top, (in my last game I brought 4 teams up from Serie B) but I’m not much of a Scudetto winner. :/

Bit off topic but yeh football manager is the best game , perfect fro a football nut, better than FIFA and Pro Evo in my opinion. Im a bit of an addict gotta admit that :P love takeing control of teams in the lower leagues and top league strugllers eg. Livorno. And of course Juventus, who are damn good in FM 10!

Mughini with another outrageous appearance after a Juve loss. He’ll probably write his 19th book about the club now!

for now i can understand inter having the time and lesiure to make these commercials, but our juventus do not…well excited for the match this weekend! it’s always big, and i just remember ranieri was great at this kind of showdown, but awful against other teams.

As an Inter fan, I would hate to see Diego, Giovinco, and ADP on at the same time. Would much prefer Amauri.

as you said Alessio, A-B-A. it would be a confidence boost for Immobile to get the nod ahead of Amauri (his negativity really gets to me).

anyways, the boys never fail to impress in big games. im excited, nervous, worried, eager all at the same time..

    FORZA JUVE

why wouldn’t Interestas see Deko on the pitch? He’s been a better player than last season. Cannot wait for this clash!

pes 2010 is the best football video game I have ever played!! The really sad thing is that, I was able to get juve to win more games in the champions league than ferrara has in real life. Im a god at that game, not to brag but I did win the serie A on maximum difficulty with catania. Hard thing to do, the best part was thrashing milan 5-0 at home, my best victory has to have been when I was playing as chievo and thrashed milan 6-1, its actually easy to do, cuz milan are weak in the air, just send in deep, high balls into their penalty box and you get goals galore!!!!! Yeah I know none of you care about what I have to say but I dont care that you dont care!!!

Materazzi- For us, Juve is like Livorno

Yes, I imagine sitting on the bench is pretty equal no matter who you’re playing.

You said it right Ale. Coming from a guy who a) has the world cup trophy tattooed on his upper thigh b) will be remembered by all as “the guy who got hit by Zidane” c) someone who won’t set foot on the field on Saturday, I say who gives a damn?

Here is the whole quote from Marco’s interview:

Battete la Juve e ammazzate il campionato?
«Per noi la Juve è come il Livorno, una partita come tutte le altre. La Juve è forte, ed è ferita: venderà cara la pelle per accorciare il distacco. Non saremo da meno: il nostro obiettivo è vincere sempre».

So there, you see it is not nearly so dismissive.

i started watching serie a 3 years ago. now, i am an absolutely die hard juventus fan (my family are all juventude and have been since they were born and raised in turin).

if juventus want to win this game, they need a midfield that can keep up with inters fast pace, and they CANNOT make any stupid mistakes (i.e. Melo’s performance against udinese) on midfield or defense. Chiellini cannavaro grosso and most likely caceres must keep a tight formation and stay as far back as they can without sacrificing offensive playmaking opportunities. These are things that Juventus must do so they wont LOSE the match. Winning is an entierly different story.

to win this match, ciro ferrara must first stop playing eeny meeny miny mo with his formations and starting 11. a 4 3 1 2 (as previously mentioned this blog) is a pretty safe idea.his defense should more or less be the one i suggested, his midfield should be diego, sissoko (who played well on his return) and either giovinco or marchisio. melo needs to go kick a ball around and learn how to pass again.

as for offense, well thast entirely up for opinion. everyone can score, if the ball is given to them. del piero in the box…thats a goal. amauri at the top middle of the 18…thats a goal. trez in the box or at a good angle outside of it. thats a goal. giovinco can get INTO the box but im not too sure how well his finishing capabilities are.
