Sam, its an outright sale not co-ownership to Napoli for 4-5 million.

The worst part is that since we are getting rid of him wouldn't it make more sense to give him to Udinese for D'Agostino or possibly even Motta?

Giving De Ceglie away on a co-ownership deal for a while i reackon is okay. Especially with him not being a good left back, and Molinaro and hopefully Criscto ahead of him in the peckin order. Molinaro in my opinion is a better left back than De Ceglie. And if de Ceglie cant play Left back next season where is he gonna play? Seeing as though no wingers will be used next season! But we should definatly keep him if we end up not not getting a left back this summer.

I didn't watch the 2nd half but that doesn't surprise me about De Ceglie, if he did have a good game. He's really a fullback or winger, and relies on his pace and as you said, open space. In a 3-man midfield, he needs to play centrally.

In my opinion, Giovinco wasn't that bad, but he had no-one to play with, so everytime he got the ball 2 or 3 serbian players (twice as high, so we could say 4-6 serbian giovincos) went for him.

Marchisio played well, but mostly defensively. Didn't do much to organize the game or create a goal opportunity.

De Ceglie was pretty bad. He was even frustrating. I still believe he should play as a fullback, cuz if he does not have an open space to run with the ball, he will probably lose it. He is a potent player, but not too skillful.

Criscito: He played well, but didn't get a chance to deliver a good cross.

Some of the rest: I didn't like Cigarini either. Just ok defensively, pretty bad ofensively.

Ballotelli: He is a good player who could become a really good player, but he needs to change his environment. Too selfish and most of the time ruined the slightest occasion we might have had. He also got a yellow card for a childish reaction. Disappointing really, and it's a shame cuz he has the potential.

Motta: Very good, specially his attitude.

Both central backs: Solid performance. A few mistakes, but they were pretty good.

Aquafresca: Didn't get a clear ball trough the whole game. Not his fault I think.

im hoping that bocchetti joins napoli at some point he said he wants to but wants to spend at least another season at genoa. seems like the tough defender napolis back 4 needs. he sort of reminds me of a neapolitan chiellini of sorts but shorter and not as agressive!

what about andreolli? i remember a couple of seasons ago he was touted a the next big thing?

Funny, where were these guys when Senna "the spanish trick" was dominating the midfield during the Euros. He lived all his life in brazil before joining Villareal in 2002, thats 26 years of his life, while Rossi is blasted cause he lived 14 years of his live in the states.

Bocchetti had very good positioning but he still needs to learn how to take the ball cleanly. He's definately one for the future.

Cigarini was good in the beggining but was nothing special today. The defense was pretty solid motta and criscito were ontop of their game. Other than that marchisio was the only one that stood out.

Giovinco had alot of the ball but was taken away from him too easily. Balotelli had one good shot but that was it and Aquafresca was pretty annonymous.
