And I can kind of see what MAD is driving at, even if I don’t agree. Barcelona does have a bit of debt, not anywhere as massive as Real or ManYoo’s though.

Nice to hear, but I’m not convinced he’s bianconero al cuore quite yet.

I have an idea. I’m thinking a 4-3-3 might actually work well against Milan if Juve use it correctly, aka Barca-style. Put ADP and Giovinco on the wings, with Amauri in the center. ADP and Giovinco are both versatile players (though Amauri is pretty versatile too), and are both capable of playing in those positions. It would be an attacking formation very similar to Barcelona’s, which i think would work. Even if you put ADP in the middle and Amauri on one of the ends, it would still work, as Amauri is also good on the wing. I’m talking like this:

    Buffon
    Grygera Legrottaglie Chiellini De Ceglie
    Camoranesi Marchisio Nedved
    Del Piero Amauri Giovinco

And i think either way, Juve’s gonna pull out a win here. One thing i’ve noticed is that even when we’re in bad form, we still do decent, if not great, against big teams. Chelsea and Inter are great examples of this.

And by the way, next year i would go with a 4-1-3-2, like this:

    Buffon
    Grygera Legrottaglie Chiellini De Ceglie
    Sissoko
    Camoranesi Marchisio Giovinco
    Del Piero Amauri

This is assuming we dont buy anyone, since nothing is confirmed just yet. Although spending money on some quality players would obviously help.

Alessio, Bremen’s third goal was a result of a corner kick. That corner kick was a result of the ball rolling onto a plastic bottle causing the ball to unexpectedly jump resulting in the Hamburg defender conceding a corner as he tried to clear the ball.

If it wasen’t for that plastic bottle then Bremen would have not gone through to the final.

Del Piero and Trezeguet are not done. They both still have years ahead of them. Inzaghi is a perfect example of this. And ADP was only in “good, not great” form in the first half of the season, pre-Xmas? I completely disagree. He was in INCREDIBLE form in the first half of the season. Single-handedly took down Real Madrid, was scoring some of the most beautiful free kicks you’ll ever see, and overall formed one of the most feared attacking partnerships in the world with Amauri, and THE most feared in Serie A bar none, etc. And he’s still not in horrible form, he’s still producing, whether it’s assists or goals, but yea he is doing bad, not nearly what he was in the first half of the season. And Trezeguet hasnt had enough time to show what he can do, since coming back from injury months ago he’s played how many games? Less than 10 probably, and started less than 5. He’s getting the same bad treatment as Giovinco.

And considering Juve was the better team against Chelsea throughout both legs, even if we didnt walk away the winners, i dont think we would need any signings to be able to beat Chelsea. Win the Champions League maybe, such as beating Manchester United or Barcelona, but i think we could beat Chelsea if we had less injuries to cope with and were on a better run of form.

And like i said before, we should start using a 4-1-3-2. It would suit Juve well in my opinion. And by the way, i have a feeling we’re gonna beat Milan. Again.

Mad, I understand your viewpoint but like Alessio said I don’t necessarily agree with it. But HOW IN THE HELL can you talk about teams being in debt when Moratti has had to pull out millions and millions from his own pocket to help cover the debts your dear team has had. Of course they are not like those of Real or ManU, but it’s still something to think about.I found these numbers online, not sure on accuracy but sound about right from knowing the Serie A, its main teams and their activities in the last few years:
    1. INTER (-207 mln)
    2. MILAN (-66,8 mln)
    3. JUVE (-20 mln)

“the 2 best club teams in the world this season are playing eachother in the final of course its about which team is better thats the whole point!”

It may have happened this season. But there have been quite a few seasons where the top two teams playing in the final **weren’t** the best teams in the tournament (Liverpool – Istanbul version, Porto and Dortmund come to mind immediately.) I have seen these games, I don’t need the marketing to tell me what I am watching…

“barcelona arent actually in that much debt either and coming from an inter fan whos team relies on havng 30+ players in a team you dont half talk some shit”

You are right. I don’t half talk shit. I don’t talk shit at all.

Barca has debt. Not ManU debt, but they owe plenty.

And Inter don’t have 30+ players. As of right now, according to Inter.it, they have 27, exactly 1 more than Juventus, according to Juventus.it.

Is Giovinco preferred as a left winger or a striker? I was never sure…Heard him being referred to as Nedved’s heir, as well as Del Piero’s, but maybe they just meant Del Piero’s in the sense that he’d play there his whole career and be the captain and all that jazz.

Sam, I wouldn’t be so sure. The fact that “negotiations” have been going on so long, I have a feeling that we won’t be getting him. Some club that actually knows what they’re doing will come in and swoop him from under our nose, and we’ll end up signing Abou Diaby or Jeremy Toulalan for 20 million, and they’ll be touted as the “solution” to our midfield problems.

Roberto, I think his wages and his injuries probably are too much for him to be a backup.

You will indeed like it, Tom.

Here’s my translation. Not perfect, but so it goes.

[Alessio Tacchinardi, 11 seasons in black-and-white, with Juve he won everything from 1994-2005; 6 scudetti, 1 Champions League, 1 International Cup, 1 Uefa Cup, 4 Suppercoppe Italiane and 1 Coppa Italia]

[The ex-black-and-white midfielder told everything to the microphones of the show "Soccer Time" (IES TV, interview in full tonight at 21) and came out talking about the problems affecting the Old Lady, heavily pointing his finger at Cobolli Gigli, Blanc, and Secco, a management in his opinion is not at Juventus' height. «It's their fault...in modern football you don't invent anything, they threw away millions of euros in 3 years buying players that didn't leave a mark: Almiron, Tiago, Andrade, Poulsen, De Ceglie, Grygera, Salihamdizic, Marchionni, and many others....apart from Sissoko and Amauri they threw it all away in a sack of money.»]

[-Piling it on: «I had the luck to work with a competent mangement (Moggi and Giraudo). Before leaving Juventus, I returned from Spain, and with the new entourage in one week of training, no one asked me or told me anything, I was looked at like a guy from the old triade and they threw me out the door.»]

-[On his friend Buffon: «Seeing the frustration of Buffon hurt me bad, a dagger to the heart.»]

-[Tacchinardi has something to say about everyone, also for Cannavaro, ready to wear black-and-white again: «Another screw-up from the management: 36 years old, someone who ran off to avoid going to Serie B and now is returning because it'll make him comfortable.....so let's also get Zambortta, Emerson, and Capello...»]

-[About a new coach: «Spalletti? I hope they don't mess up again, Conte or Vialli are the right men. We should take the example of Milan: Only those who have worn the jersey and demonstrated that sense of membership of the colors should coach the team.»]

-[On Moggi: «I will always be greatful to him, a great "conosseur" of football that never messed up a signing, the last being Ibra...seeing him in Inter's jersey hurts me, without him the Nerazzurri would have 30 less points.»

-[On Secco: «A nice guy, but seeing him as the Sporting Director, honestly...the responsibility of this situation is also his.»]

-[On the match with Milan: «Juve cannot win, and I think Juve will finish 4th.»]
