Melo Keeps on Digging

Like this. Only worse.

Felipe Melo, ladies and gentlemen:

«With Fiorentina, my first Italian team, everything at a group worked well, as a collective and individually, the season went well. At Juventus, the group never worked, even if I’m happy with what I did. At all the big clubs, it can happen that you don’t win titles, I hope the next year will be full of victories, hopefully we can do the same as Inter. I take the small portion of responsibility, but the fault was everyones. Here with Brazil, it’s totally different….here there is happiness and full of friendship, people who can help you when you need help. Instead, at Juventus at the level of the group, nothing worked. Brazil is a real group of players…Juventus didn’t have it.”

What an asshat. As if we needed any more reasons to hate him, he just keeps shoving his foot in his mouth. The players responded.

Buffon- “Did Melo really say this? Well, I guess it is a personal opinion, it should be respected as such.”
Chiellini- “On the other hand, I don’t care what he’s said. Who gives a damn, I have more important things to think about.
Poulsen- “For me, things work well at Juventus. Certainly, national teams are special for everyone, because you’re representing your country and you don’t play in the World Cup everyday. But for me, Juventus is also plenty important. Italy is beautiful, and I have always been very well there.”

As Jorid pointed out in the last post, rumors that Del Neri has asked Agnelli and Marotta to issue a fine to Felipe Melo for his comments. Better idea- Sell the fucker. I am so sick of him disrespecting our club, our fans, and our players.

Maradona was the best player to ever play the game.. Imo
but he is still a retard.
  • OK. Substitute the word 'retarded' with 'poor'. I still don't respect Maradona.
  • bertrand
    Maradona isn't retarded...

    Talk about being disrespectful...
  • France 2006 is a good example of a team going far in spite of a retarded coach. That's why Argentina *could* go far.

Greece's win was first comeback win, albeit on the back of a red card. This WC is going at least somewhere.

    rhaaj: That's hilarious lol.
Good ole Giampiero however, decided to back down and he didn't go through with his offer in my file.
I'm stuck with Gigli telling me that he still cares about the club's fortunes...

Oh well, I just violated Inter 4-0 at Delle Alpi, followed by a 6-0 rape of Toro AT Olimpico lol.
Gigi has now kept a clean sheet in Serie A for the last 7 games.
  • Brian
Why are they wasting money on Storari? Manninger was a more then capable backup for Gigi. That's 4 million that could be better spent elsewhere.
  • rhaaj
Jorid, I saw the same message in FM couple of days back. But few game days later after the takeover is complete, there is a personal message saying "Boniperti informs you that there are no plans to provide the club with investments at this stage"
  • ergo
Anyone else heard the news that we got Storari for 4M?
  • kriz
Offtopic, anyone know about our new kits for next season?
  • Nnahoj
Rinaldo, I hope you are right. Martinez is utterly average. He's like a midfield Grygera.
  • Rinaldo
I think it's going to be only one of Martinez and Krasic. Looks to me that the Martinez link is to let CSKA know we're looking at other options. I'm pretty confident we will sign Krasic soon.
  • Jorid
    Breaking News!!!

"In-form Juventus have now begun the process of appointing a new chairman, according to World Soccer Magazine. The front runner for the job appears to be director Giampiero Boniperti who could be prepared to pay around 171M Euros to gain a controlling stake in the club."

From my FM10 Juve file hahahaha.

Now Giampiero can break open his piggy bank for me to purchase DDR and Pato.
  • domenech's luck finally runs out. what a sorry excuse for a coach!
  • agiamba
    CIAO FRANCIA!!
  • agiamba
You're probably right, Jorid. Annoying though, Caceres is unwanted by Barcelona, we should be able to get him!
  • Jorid
Alessio: I ABSOLUTELY don't want Motta to start over Caceres.
From what I keep on reading however, Martin's purchase seems less likely the more time passes and Motta making the switch for about 3,5 million sounds almost complete.

I hope Martin stays with us, remains healthy and starts as much as possible but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen.

Rinaldo, I don't know if we are going to get Gallas or Criscito. I think things are taking so long with Genoa because we want both Criscito and Bonnucci. If Juve buy half of Bonnucci from Bari I think we will go to the envelopes for both players.

I also don't know about Krasic and Giovinco. I think the club will keep one of PDC and Giovinco and the other one will be sent somewhere else. As for Krasic, the rumors surrounding Martinez are pretty big, maybe we will sign them both or maybe we will have Martinez on loan with option to buy like Pepe. That essentially will finish our wing shopping (Krasic, Pepe, Martinez and one of PDC or Giovinco). That would be solid, we might also finish up without Krasic.

Bonucci is tough as well, unless we get 1/2 ownership from Bari, otherwise it might be game over and we might be looking at Kjaer more seriously.

Also, to those who are saying that we are building a mediocre team I say let Marotta do his job and we can judge next May. Juve is not Real Madrid, full of stars, we take good players and put together an exceptional team. Marotta already surprised us with Pepe, lets see what else he has up his sleve.
  • agiamba
Motta, jorid? Cmon......no way. Caceres had a better season than Motta coming from a foreign league with injury issues. Motta is a 3-month hit wonder, utterly average. Don't want him at Juve.
  • agiamba
Melo now backtracking as fast as he can...

Fact remains, you don't say that shit in public. He is seriously braindead.
  • Jorid
    Rinaldo, change Caceres with Motta...
  • Rinaldo
    --------------------Buffon

    ----Caceres - Bonucci - Chiellini - Gallas

    -----Krasic - ??????? - Marchisio - Giovinco

    --------------??????? - Iaquinta

This is what it looks like we'll look like next season.
  • bianconeri
Comrade, those haters are just mad cause Higuain is starting over Milito.
  • hey guys, thanx a ton! even I am super excited about joining EA. Relocation is a huge pain, especially if you are travelling with a pet. Thankfully every thing went smoothly and now I am chillin @ home :)
  • ishaq96
    martinez?? what about giovinco?
  • lol at people who say Higuain is overrated.
  • Mass
Yeah Jenny I agree with you. Their is no doubt that Martinez is a decent player but is he good enough for Juventus. Not to mention that the tabloids are quoting between 12-14 million euros to sign him, which he is not worth. What worries me is that Giovinco is clearly more talented than both Pepe and Martinez and it seems more and more likely he will be sold this summer.
  • Jenny G
Latest link with Catania's Jorge Martinez. I have a feeling that we are not building a great juventus team, but a great Sampdoria.
  • bianconeri
Agreed, defence should be our top priority.
  • Mass
Adam we can't be sure of that. Perhaps Del Neri will choose to play Pinsoglio. Why waste money on another goalkeeper, who will only end up being 2nd or 3rd choice in the long run. Clearly the team needs investment in other areas, this has to be the priority!
  • bianconeri
Mass, when Manninger is out it won't be Pinsoglio who steps in, it's gonna be that muppet Chimenti.
  • Mass
Why sign a replacement goalkeeper? It seems a like a waste of money, especially when we need to invest in other areas of the team. We have Manninger, who has done a great job when called upon and Pinsoglio, why not let these guys have a chance. Personally I'm still rather worried with our lack of investment and the calibre of players we have been linked too. Yes Pepe had a decent game for Italy and I must admit that I admire his work ethic, but their is no doubt in my mind that he is not good enough to represent Juventus or Italy for that matter. He is a very average, one dimensional player. Some of the other players we have been linked too recently such as Gallas, Rafael Marquez and Martinez just aren't good enough. For years now the squad has needed some refreshment, but we seem to inexplicably sign players who are past their best every summer. Gallas and Marquez are two players who fall into this category. If you're going to sign a winger from Udinese, why not sign Alexis Sanchez, he has been considerably improving every season at Udinese, not to mention that he is younger and more versatile than Pepe. Why are we not chasing deals for the likes of Criscito or Bonucci/Kjaer, instead we are being linked to Gallas. It seems as if we haven't learned our lesson! The other thing that worries me, is that it appears as if Marotta and Del Neri have yet to speak to the players. Why have we not already offered Chiellini a new deal, he is one of our most important players! Have they spoken to the likes of Diego and Giovinco. Yes I realise that some of our players are at the world cup, but that shouldn't affect the club from doing their job. I really hoped that this summer Juventus would realise the importance of signing some younger players to freshen up the squad, but it appears as if this is not the case, I'm becoming slightly disillusioned.
  • bianconeri
Signing a good quality keeper will be hard as we still have Manninger as Buffon's replacement so the keeper we sign will have to be 3rd choice once Buffon comes back.
  • ned lowe
    1. perhaps melo should not have aired these things publicly, but i find no slander or untruth in his comments.the group obviously did not work last season (hence we finished seventh!)though he himself pitched in with his fair share of crappiness, his teammates were equally (and in some cases way more)crappy ... he finds more support and joy with the selecao? understandable ...tho it is also possible that him , amauri n diego distanced themselves from teammates by forming a lil samba colony over in turin ... melo's remarks mirror his frustrations after his weak first season in turin which has not endeared him to fans (and perhaps some teamamates?)he has not helped himself with some of his comments n actions n might want to place a call thru to new teammate simone pepe (see his comments about di livio at the bottom of this interview http://www.football-italia.net... for lessons on how to win over the fans ...

    2. BTW what r we going to do abt gigi's sitaution? tho there's no word yet on how lon he's going 2 be out, if he's going to need surgery then we defo need 2 start looking at replacements . in that event, do we go with an able veteran (storari/abbiati/manninger/cudicini) or promote one of the youngsters (pinsoglio/kirev)?
  • Trezgoal
And what's wrong with that? That is pretty accurate
  • Congrats, Papai! That's fantastic! Keep updating on what games you'll be working on. I'll be sure to pay for those games :P ha ha.. Also, if you get a chance to work on FIFA, please make it realistic. I simply hate it when I can make Trezeguet run half the pitch and score a cracking goal from outside the box.
  • agiamba
    Congrats Papai!! That's great news.
  • Blanda_Amania
    Congratulations, Papai!! That's pretty awesome!
  • Melo is a dumb-ass. He really is. I don't even mind that he said the poor season was the fault of the group rather than just him. It's true, but he should still man up and admit he had a poor season, but whatever. That part doesn't even bother me that much. And when he says that Juventus "didn't have it at the level of the group", that part is somewhat true as well (though the irony is that I think Melo himself is what disrupted the group the most).

None of that stuff I just mentioned was smart for him to say, but compared to this next bit it's nothing. What bothers me most is that he said, with Brazil there is happiness, friendship and people who can help you; while that was not the case at Juventus. Even if it's true, you don't announce that to the world.

He's a dumbass who has no friends and who no one likes (other than Brazilian players it seems...and I imagine it's mainly because he actually gives a shit with Brazil and everyone is enthusiastic to be playing in the world cup).
  • Daniel
Papai, congratz! Although I can see you've been watching a lot of Blade Runner latelly ^^.
Ankward moment for the Spaniards today, they got the 4th place.
  • Jorid
Papai-Congratulations on becoming part of EA dude. Very impressive!
What games have you designed/worked on in the past?
