“Chiellini 8.5: An absolute rock at the back. Owned both Torres and Villa, and made two brilliant last-gasp interventions. The most positive thing to come out of this tournament for Italy is that they have found a warrior of a centre back.”

I would argue Giorgio was our best player of the tournament.

yeah chiellini was an absolute rock all right but you’ve got to admit some unnessacary fouls by him around the penalty area.

Chiellini simply extended his already white-hot form from Serie A to the international level. Juventini everywhere should be proud of how our Bianconeri played for Italy in the Euro’s- more so than any other Serie A club. Buffon, Camoranesi, and Chiellini were arguably the best players in the squad all tournament.

    Forza Juve!

roberto, you beat me to it. everyone knew that chiellini was a monster, but camoranesi really shined in his limited playing time. i know that he didnt have a good first game (but who would playing with di natale and an out of form toni?) i still dont know why he didnt get the starting nod for any other games.

did anyone else notice buffon’s point blank stop of fabregas’ shot after he was called offside? he stopped a missile from point blank range with just a flick of one arm. it was truly amazing…

Alessio if anyone argues otherwise about Chiellini being the best than they didnt want watch the tournament or understand what he did for this team.

Anybody else think its hilarious how ungodly blind Romanistas can be concerning their Roma players? I know it starts at the top with you know who, but its almost sickening..

But yeah, I agree..Juventi players played very well. Buffon was the man, but thats a given. Chiellini was the anchor of the defense. Camo started off poor but was a stud yesterday

KJ, yeah, of course. Camoranesi played shit against Holland, but was great other than that. I loved seeing him dribble between 2-3 Spaniards, since no one else was doing it.

ADP was the best striker, which is awful. Toni and Di Natale were just shitty as hell.

Corbin I know exactly the one you’re talking about. Fucking Fabregas, that prick knew the play was dead but he still fired-off a screamer. Too bad he’s a bitch and Buffon stoned him with his left hand like he was a joke- rightfully so.

Alessio, what about Cassano for the best striker of the tournament? Granted he was playing more of a supporting role for Toni, he impressed me a lot against Spain. He absolutely owned Sergio Sergio Ramos.

Anyone else want Donadoni’s head on a fucking plate?

Cassano was good, but I wasn’t too impressed with him against Spain. Probably because all of our forwards were stranded up front and had to pull back to get any kind of passing. ADP had, other than Camoranesi, the very few actual shots on-target for us. He also had some good dribbling. When I say best striker, I’d give him a 5.5 or 6, but everyone else sucked.

Yes, Roberto. Fucking mismanaged the whole thing.

On a transfer note, Blanc said «Our aim is to complete all transfers before the summer camp starts; by July 4th we hope to have a complete squad».

I don’t expect that to happen, but if so we have a week and 2-3 days to negotiate with teams and to sell.

I expect Zebina, Tiago, Almiron, and Marchionni to leave and hopefully Molinaro.

KJ i wouldn’t of been susrprised if you guys got Giovinco in the Amauri deal. Secco is a as qualified for his job as Donadoni was qualified for his job at the Euro’s.

yeah, sushan, i think romanistas hate KJ more than anyone else.

speaking of palermo, i’ve made my peace with the amauri signing. he’s a hell of a talented individual, and as long as trezeguet (my 2nd or 3rd favorite player) stays, i’m cool with it. if we can keep iaquinta, we’ll have one hell of an attacking force. he’s got enough skill to play alongside a CF like Iaquinta/Trez, but can play as one too.

And now Chiellini has signed a new contract through 2013.

    http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Primo_Piano/2008/06_Giugno/26/pastonemercato.shtml

He’s going to be the rock around which Juve builds their defence for the next ten years.

    Sigh.
