a football career is fragile, just hope he can make a speedy recovery, but sad to say he will almost certainly lost something, like being more injury prone, unable to fully fulfill his potential (touch wood, hopefully not), etc,

our own ADP is the best example, i heard he never get back his pre-udinese form, he's still a legend for us though...but of course there is van nistenrooy, i think he successfully return to form, just look at the goals he scored for man utd, he's the only the exception...

This weekend's football already feels shadowed by what happened to Ramsey. One of the brightest talents in the world - now may not play again (although it's likely he will). Makes me sick to my stomach
  • Blanda_Amania
Thank you, Comrade!! *See* you at the game.
  • Blanda: I refer to Serie A on ESPN Soccernet. Tomorrow's game is 14:45 ET.
  • Blanda_Amania
What time is the Palermo game happening in what time zone? It's not on ESPN 360. I need to be able to figure out the time difference so I can watch it, and where can I watch it? I don't wanna miss this one. Please help a sister out!
  • Sam Dj
de ceglie for upcoming call up?
  • Godson Hernandez
Immobile or Paolucci. But Trez will def. play. Either of them will come on if he plays crap. Let's give Trez a break pls. He's not long returned from injury. I doubt if even Iaquinta will start banging in the goals as soon as he returns.
  • Alastair
The fixtures are kind to us this week, at least: Napoli host Roma, while Sampdoria have a potentially tricky away game at Parma... but most importantly we have this chance to put four points between us and Palermo. We have to take it.
  • Blanda_Amania
...and LOL at Al's comment about Amauri earning a month off after his scoring streak!
  • Blanda_Amania
Our injured list is starting to look like our starting 11 lineup. The cold cannot be helping at all. I wonder if during their 1/2 time talk their muscles get so cold that are more prone to injury in 2nd 1/2? Don't know... never played in that kind of weather. Holy smokes at being only a point ahead of 5th, 6th, and 7th place. Too close for comfort. We HAVE to win the rest of our games.
  • At this point, I'd even train at Appiano Gentile with Intermerda. Anything but this cursed #$&#*#*@ injury freakfest we have.

alessio: no shit we're in the green. Our management won't fork out the dough for Hiddink, we're bound to save bucks. Not that I'm complaining of Zac, but just saying: being cheap has its advantages.
  • agiamba
Who knows. Amauri strained his thigh, but it was at the Olimpico.

This is why Blanc should stay-

  • I think even Chiellini said that the conditions in Vinovo are not helping the injury crisis. When will the management learn?
  • j
    VINOVO, a cursed place...
  • Ivo
God, it is frustrating though. When Iaquinta was getting in form - he got injured. Now Amauri was finally playing well - and he is injured.

Immobile should get 20 minutes against Palermo, Trezegol played the whole game against Ajax basically.

WTF is up with Giovinco & Poulsen? How hard is it to stay healthy when you are not playing?
  • dweb
is there any credence to what giorgio said about the training grounds in vinovo? he said in his twitchat that the mixture of cold weather and humidity lead to a lot of muscular problems. youd think that a team like juve could afford a trainer to keep the players loose and stretched. at least this time, its only amauri
  • Jorid
al: You made me spit my water out. LOL.
  • Gaetano
    Giovinco,caceres,amauri,iaquinta,buffon,marchisio,poulson--out

does anyone know if iaquinta is training at all? I have a feeling it will still be alex and trez, with palouschi coming in at some point.

Camo will probably feature but will be replacEd with brazzo or vice versa.
  • Sebastien
Fuck that sucks, Amauri is out and Trezeguet is completely out of form. He shouldn't start games, at the most get the last 10-15 minutes of each. Those who saw him play yesterday would agree cuz he played poorly. I think this is probably the best time to play either Paolusci or Inmobile.
  • al
Alastair and Jorid, that is understandable. He has scored 3 goals. Hence, he needs break. A month for 3 goal sounds fair to me.
  • Jorid
Wtf! Anybody know what the number of our injuries is up to now? I think it should be right about 50-51? Unbelievable.
  • Alastair
Amauri out for a month. Thank God Trez is back, and maybe Immobile and Paolucci will actually get to play a few minutes this season.
  • gigi
You guys cost me £140.oo last night .. I guess i should have assumed a draw would happen since juve didnt have to win .. but i didnt see anything for us to fear. Team looked fatigued and manniger has butter fingers See ya at the weekend juventinos.
  • j
well we played pretty well, just didnt score, palermo next!
  • Sam
Yeah agreed no need to buy one, stay with PDC and let him develop still has plenty of time, pity he isint realy for the 2010 World Cup, if only he started at the start of the season.
  • Jorid
DJP: More or less it says:

After having discarded Molinaro(starter last season who later on moved to Stuttgart, now playing in the C.L) and having discovered all of Grosso's weaknesses throughout the year, for the left wing, Zac's Juve finally seems to have found a response to its problems. The solution was always readily available: PDC from Aosta-he runs, crosses well and covers defensively like a real quality full back.
  • DJP
    Translation?
  • agiamba
Voto 6.5

Goal.com(IT)'s rating for De Ceglie this game. I like the description. :)
  • Daniel
He is tiring Marchisio. Won't these people ever learn? The guy can't stand so many games. Of course ADP is even worse in that aspect, but he could do something about it.
  • Jose
@ Comrade. I too hope for the former
  • Gaetano
The boys seemed tired today. They ll need to sort themselves out for palermo. Miccoli and co will be knocking at buffon/mannigers door.

One notable thing. I like this formation because it's like it adds a second layer of defense but then can be easily switched to attack mode. If the back 3 hold their line it is really tight.
  • Either that or he lacks a killer instinct. I'm hoping for the former.
  • o_man
I am pretty sure Zac asked the team to take their foot off the pedal since Ajax looked like they wouldn't score even if they had another 90 minutes. He had Palermo in mind and I agree with him
  • Alastair
I wasn't able to see this one (had to go out), but it sounds like we got the result in reasonably efficient fashion, didn't completely kill ourselves ahead of Palermo, and kept a clean sheet.

Not too shabby, although you'd hope we show more killer instinct at home against Fulham.
  • Blanda_Amania
Ack... not watch again, but watch the replay since I missed it.
  • Blanda_Amania
Should I pay $1.99 to watch again? Yay for a clean sheet!
  • I'm super happy that we kept a clean sheet.
  • Andy
Second half was pretty dull from a Juventus standpoint, imo.
  • agiamba
So I missed the last 60 minutes because work avalanched out of nowhere and I was busy as shit. Worth rewatching, or no?
