"Did anyone else notice how advanced Chiellini was playing?"

That's something I've noticed a lot since the start of this season. I think it's part of Ferrara's game plan. Chiellini has had a decent number of shot on goals this season, almost scoring against quite a few teams. He even had an incorrect offside goal against Bordeaux (or was it Genoa?), I think.

Do you guys think that maybe our strikers aren't doing as well because of the new formation? Strikers like Trez and Amauri thrive off crosses. Strikers like Del Piero are the ones who thrive on passes through the middle. I like Diego, but do you guys think signing a winger might have been better? This is what Moggi had to say about it:

i agree that the sampdoria match is a test of our scudetto credentials, and hopefully we passed it with flying colors.

anyway whats wrong with capello, i know he left juve when we were punished, but hey though that guy is a mercenary, he is a good coach, scudetto with milan, juve and ROMA? even though the roma squad is strong too, but still it's an achievement

Inter also has a big matchup on Thursday. I didn't realize Palermo is in "fourth". They are tied for points with La Viola and Milan.

The victories are the most important thing at the moment not necessarily the performances, that will hopefully come

In the words of Cannavaro... Three points are all that matters and we WILL get better when Marchisio, Tiago and especially: Del Piero return.
His absence (and having no replacement/questions marks above Govinco) has been the main reason of our bad performances. Once he will get back, I'm putting all my money on a revival of Juve. I just hope we're not completely out of the race by then.
Alex plays fast, understands all our strikers or at least just has the class to see their runs in time (before the offside) and he gives us possession, goals, experience and 50% free kick scoring opportunities :).

Sissoko and Melo should both be played, this partnership makes me lick my lips, that is our future. Put either Camoranesi/Marchisio or Tiago next to those two when possible and the 4-3-1-2 is a great formation IMO. But not with 2 big men up front.

All Ferrara has to do tomorrow is play Camoranesi and Giovinco. That can be done in all formations. 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1 (my preference btw) or 4-3-1-2...

Alessio: I studied Physical education and sport sciences, and going on with physiotherapy now. Really interesting field, if you ask me. Trying to understand the human being, just makes you wonder about a lot of other things as well sometimes.

Btw; team Nike will have the better of the play, but Adidas will kill them with Alex ;).

I hate to speak in absolutes, but the game against sampdoria will be a litmus test for ferrara.Yes he's a rookie n is still learning the ropes, yes the team is still trying to gel,yes we have some key players out through injury...BUT it is in the fireplace of adversity that champions are forged, Ferrara HAS TO show something in this game. We need to see some direction from the bench and as much as I want us to win; I would much more than that want to see some sign of character emerging from this team. Like I said in a previous post, the biggest worry for me thus far has been our performance and not our results.I'm not saying we should play like Barcelona, but with the players we have we should be much more dominant and imposing than we have been.
I really do hope we begin to see that change from the midweek game.
May the force be with us.

Damn Alessio, thats a hard one....i say it would be close, but would put money on team Adidas, nothing like an old partnership to rip apart the other team
