Previews: Half-assed Preview of Juventus-Artmedia and Squad Updates

By: alessio | Comments 72 Comments

We’re back, ladies and gentlemen. After two years of exile, Juventus FC officially re-enters the Champion’s League in the 3rd-round qualifiers. Win this two-legged tie and we’re into the lucrative group stages. Our opponent this year is FC Artmedia Petržalka, who won the Slovak league last year. In terms of Uefa co-efficients, they are below [...]

Liveblog: Manchester United v. Juventus Pre-season Friendly

By: alessio | Comments 72 Comments

So, I was going to be at the beach all day today, but a storm decided to roll in this morning. End result? I’m sitting inside the beachhouse watching the rain come down, pretty cool stuff. But the upside is I’ll be watching this glorious friendly as well, and I figured, if I’m watching, why [...]

Capello Sucks: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Calciopoli

By: alessio | Comments 33 Comments

This is kind of another reflection on Juventus history, but of a slightly different kind.
Like all Juventini, two years ago I went from Nirvana to Hell in a matter of a month. In the greatest football moment I’ve ever witnessed, the Azzurri triumphed in Berlin, winning the first major silverware I’ve been around for. [...]

Player Ratings: Juventus Season 2007-2008

By: alessio | Comments 29 Comments

I’ll probably do a wrap-up for the season, but this is a concise quicker way to review it I suppose. Without any further ado, I give you my player ratings (out of 10) for every Bianconeri who played a role in our season.

Previews: Sampdoria-Juventus and words on Tiago and Amauri

By: alessio | Comments 41 Comments

Well, Juventini and anti-Juventini, (is there anything else?) it’s come down to the last day of the season, sadly enough. Now starts the boring summer months of transfers and pointless friendlies. (Anyone know if a Serie A team is touring America? I’m here all summer) But before this downtown, there’s one game left! While not [...]

Juventus Lookalikes- Our New Secret Squad

By: alessio | Comments 35 Comments

Brief comment on Siena-Juve. Well, that sucked. But since it seems pretty certain that Empoli is going down, we need a farm team for next year, right? Let’s hope they can do better than they did with Molinaro. I mean, c’mon Secco, this isn’t tough. Look at Balzaretti last year, and Molinaro this year. Or, [...]

Palermo v. Juventus: Colantuono’s Last Chance, Really This Time… I Swear

By: roberto | Comments 18 Comments

Tifosi Rosaneri don’t tell me, let me guess.  Colantuono’s got some secret plan to beat us come Sunday.  I mean, that’s the reason why Zamparini hired him again, right?  Well it’s either that, or he persuaded your president for another chance after he touched his nose with his tongue and made some funny animals out [...]

Juventus v. Serie A: Can we still win the scudetto?

By: alessio | Comments 23 Comments

For those living under a rock, last weekend Juventus blew the Scudetto race wide-open with a beautiful 2-1 win over archrivals Inter. If anything, 2-1 flattered Inter….Del Boy was in phenomenal form but just wasn’t finishing well. The question now is….is the Scudetto race down to Inter v. Roma, or does Juve have a chance?
