Deserved win. Although the loss probably meant the ax for Spal, but still, Juve played with cohesion. I have high hopes with them in the CL.

As for mercenaries, let’s be honest here. If Roma had signed a striker and he had put in two great goals, we’d all be singing his praises here. So nothing wrong with that — unless you happen to be an Athletic Bilbao fan.

As for question Totti’s devotion to the club. Meh. The desire to be the center of attention always plays a role in such decisions anyway. *One* of the reasons Maldini and Del Piero didn’t leave because they preferred being loved by their club supporters, they loved the attention and they loved the status. But then, things like that are hard to appreciate when you have Liverani as your team’s captain.

yeah sofia, but most juve goals are shit goals either way,funny you have a problem with a Roma goal. KJ, Palermo is also a small team but have yet to win something. Know your team’s history. Totti is one of the greatest playmakers (like ADP) and would have thrived anywhere. Beat down on a player you wished you could have had in your pink pussy team.

kay this ref was INTENSE i mean someone would put a finger on the other team and they would get carded! i was surprised both teams ended with 10 men!
i don’t really understand how the roma goal counted considering the ref wasn’t even ready? i mean gigi was still assembling his wall? veryyy strange. oh well, we won so, i don’t really care much how their shit goal happened anyway:)

Wrong. I do.. It is easily mistaken for love of the shirt, but it is nothing more than narcissism at its finest. Totti thrives on being the center of attention and being at a small club in a big city fits him perfectly. Totti would never do well at a big 3 club or a big club in another league. He couldnt stand being amongst great players and simply fitting in. He couldn’t stand somebody else getting the 10 jersey or somebody else draping the newspaper covers after a big win. Is it no surprise his wish washy attitude with the Azzurri? Or the fact after he retired he was angry that there weren’t more adamant attempts to bring him back? Totti has put on one great facade but he isn’t fooling everybody

Nothing against those players but I think the whole idea of all the “Big 3″ players being mercenaries is ridiculous. All teams have a few players who play for the shirt, and plenty who are there because it’s at their stage in the career. No one questions Totti’s love for the shirt, but Menez isn’t anymore “Giallorosso” than say, Diego will be in 1 year.

Mercato is closed now, so Molinaro isn’t going anywhere. Grygera I’m holding off on judgement, because the last two seasons he had a few great games (like against Roma) and then had a string of utterly mediocre ones. Let’s see if he can get consistency, but it’s good he has competition and it’s better to keep him than Zebina, at the very least, Grygera is pretty immune to injury. (knock on wood)

TMW and most Italian news sources said the documents came through in time, Pessotto stayed late to get them and file them with the Lega Calcio. TMW says the Ariaudo-to-Cagliari documents were filed too late past the deadline and so the deal is off. No big deal, he can learn from our team this fall and go on loan in January if need be.
